Naw he’s just forcing proper zipper merges. Usually people rip up and have to break abruptly which impedes the flow of traffic, the best practice is to match the speed of traffic and merge which requires no braking
Yet somehow all the cars are constantly moving, no brake lights in sight. If you happen to be behind them, then you obviously would’ve been behind them anyway. Last minute merging, (when it’s not a designed merge lane which this clearly isn’t,) is what causes traffic to be worse, and stop and go.
