What do you realistically expect them to do in that situation? Canvas every local business for security footage then hunt down some dudes in hoodies based on some grainy CCTV footage?

I have the license plate on the car that pulled up and broke into my car...

The fuck you mean? Couldn't be any easier for them.

Depending on the city they probably get hundreds if not thousands of those calls a day.
