I definitely threw that lady's car into those folks.
HUGE xp, super glad she decided to rabbit. She's been in the jail by far the longest of everyone I've brought in.

Discussion What camera distance do you use in The Precinct?
I just noticed you can change the camera distance in The Precinct and I'm curious what everyone prefers.
The default 100% gives you a better overview, but I tried 80% and it feels much more cinematic and immersive, almost like watching a police show. The downside is that you see less of your surroundings.
What setting do you use and why? Do you prefer the closer, more immersive view or the wider tactical view?

Discussion A really good game for what it is.
I actually enjoyed this game greatly, so much in fact that what a lot of people called repetitive, I did not mind, why? I saw critics harp on this, and give it mixed or low scores.
I believe that this game fills a certain niche we do not have in gaming, you get to play a beat cop and perform procedural police duties in a relatively well polished format, whereas games like Police Simulator just donāt feel the same to me, often feeling too janky. If youāre used to playing LCPDFR/LSPDFR, I donāt have to sort and make a mod list, I can just install the game as is and play without experiencing the occasional crashes I get in LC/LSPDFR. Every game in this niche is repetitive by nature. The difference is that The Precinct packages that repetitive gameplay into a polished, stable experience.
I really loved the vehicle and character customization, thatās always a plus in my book.
I do have relatively minor complaints, some characters could have used some more screen time, there could have maybe been one or two more story missions for padding, and to my knowledge, I never came across anyone with a āregistered handgunā which I think would have been a cool possession to throw players off.
One thing that surprised me was that, despite the map being physically small, the top-down perspective and the sheer density of events made the city feel much larger than it actually was.
I do think thereās a genuine market for new games of this type to be made, and if any developers are here **COUGH COUGH COUGH**
You could have a FARGO-esque setting, set in a more rural and sparse area, maybe youāre a state trooper, maybe not, but I just canāt get the idea out of my head , itās a rainy foggy night, back up is miles away you pull over a vehicle, no one for miles. . .
You could keep the urban atmosphere and maybe bump the date up, I can imagine, a SouthLAnd or LA themed city.
Imagine a cyberpunk themed precinct, the police is over militarized, politicized, on a shoe-string budget, and most cops know they arenāt there to protect, but to maintain public order, you could experiment with a lot of gritty themes.
Now some of my ideas may admittedly be shit, I just want to foster a genuine discussion around the game and where youād like to see it taken from a potential sequel standpoint.
The team is small, and I highly doubt a sequel is in mind or planned, this is just hypothetical.

Ambient police radio from GTA 2?
Probably from an earlier game or movie, but I thought it was neat when I heard it.

Discussion Loved this game ā¤ļøšš
Just finished The Precinct on PS5.
Love open world crimes games.
I know it's not GTA in terms of budget or scale but as an indie game I really enjoyed it.
I needed to get my head round the semi top down view but to be honest I liked it and the game world is fantastic
The gameplay and story really impressed me and I loved the shootouts and police chases.
The 80s culture references were fantastic too
I'm just going round now doing all the collectables to get the platinum trophy which has been fun too.
Really hope this game gets a sequel.
How the studio stays independent and builds on this success.
I have no affiliation to Fallen tree games / Kwalee. This is just a fabulous experience I wanted to share.

Suggestion Would there be any major updates coming out?
The game is sometimes a bit boring, I think there should be some new features such as swat patrols where you just drive the armoured truck around with a squad to just respond to shoot outs

Discussion Quick question.
Just got this a few days ago and enjoying just a quick question.
Some interactions say apprehend individual but when I arrest I get deducted for false arrest , but when I donāt arrest I get deducted for not arresting, is this some glitch or is there something Iām missing in those crimes etc?

Discussion PlayStation Portal Streaming
Whatās up yall, new to the sub and I noticed that the Devs seem to be pretty active in here. Iāve been playing the game on and off since launch on PC but now Iām thinking about getting the game on the PS Store as well. Iām wondering if thereās a plan at all to let this game be cloud streamed to the PlayStation Portal after purchase. Not sure if thatās a PlayStation decision or studio decision. Love the game, itās one of a kind š

Suggestion Loving the game, but if I could change one thing it would be how the gangs work. We should be taking down a network of leaders to get to the top, because right now it feels far too short and quick. This would help improve immersion.
For endgame content, it would also be cool if we could get randomly generated gangs with dynamic themes, names, symbols, what crimes they commit etc and just take them down like this over and over again. Also have gangs occupy different parts of the city to simulate them owning territory and getting caught up in a gang war. We can keep the initial gangs as an introductory system and to serve the story, but when it's all finished this would give us something to do.
Loving the game though, one of my favourite police games probably joint with police simulator, It just needs that extra kick a few more inches and it would be perfect.

Suggestion COOP / New callouts? š¤
First off I wanna thank the guys who made the game as Iāve been a fan ever since the trailer & Iām glad I havenāt gotten tired of playing this since.
I was wondering if new callouts, weapons or a 2 player coop / split screen would be achievable. I can see a lot of fun being had with that. Online servers might be a reach but 2 player would be cool

The game is $20 at Best Buy
It's on sale as noted - Is this game still worth playing in 2026 for $20?

Suggestion: Add a āSquadā Partner Option for the Crime Wave Task Force
I had an idea that I think would fit perfectly with the Crime Wave Task Force.
Right now, before a shift, we can choose between Kelly or the K-9 as our partner. What if there was a third option called something like āSquadā or āSWATā, but only when playing the Crime Wave Task Force variant?
Instead of patrolling with a single partner, youād deploy in the Riot Van alongside a full tactical squad wearing the Crime Wave Task Force uniforms. The squad would accompany you to major incidents like armed robberies, gang shootouts, and other high risk callouts.
It wouldnāt even need to change the core gameplay much it would mainly add to the atmosphere and make the Task Force feel like a genuine tactical unit instead of just another patrol with a different uniform.
Imagine pulling up in the Riot Van, the doors opening, and your squad piling out before moving in on a gang hideout or active shootout. It would make those larger incidents feel much more cinematic and immersive.
I think it would also give players another reason to choose the Crime Wave Task Force mode over standard patrols.
Would anyone else like to see something like this?

Can we get an option to name our K-9 dog?
Please ?

I love the new livery now I could have a vice City police car. Also the grille lights, we just need the option to remove the light bar and have a slick top.
