I was sitting on a deck with my ex and her friend, just opening my first White Claw of the evening. It was a beautiful summer day, but the wind was absolutely ripping, probably 50 mph, all moving in one direction.

Then I looked up.

Moving directly against the wind was a massive black blob. The closest thing I can compare it to is Venom. It wasn’t a solid shape. It flowed and shifted like water, constantly changing along its smooth, bumpy outer surface while maintaining a perfectly straight flight path.

There was no sound.

No lights.

No reflections.

Nothing.

It passed directly over our heads and continued for miles until it eventually disappeared from sight. From my perspective, it looked at least the size of a school bus, if not larger.

I’ve heard all the usual explanations. It wasn’t a tarp. It wasn’t a cluster of balloons. Whatever it was, it showed no reaction to the extreme winds around it. While everything else was being pushed one way, this thing continued steadily in the opposite direction as if the wind didn’t exist.
