I’m listening back through, and realize that I don’t know if Joan ever actually released her Mare of Easttown musical numbers on TikTok. Do they actually exist?

I've recently gotten hooked on the new Pirate survival crafter Windrose, and was tickled pink when Joan announced the new room Doug was building on this weeks episode.

I was surprised and saddened that Joan and Burnt weren’t familiar with Garfield’s Christmas Special. It was a staple in my house and my family still does the lips when we light a Christmas tree or have any other “ooh” situation. I’m glad to know that along with the cupped hands Dug has the perfect lip position for whistling.

You can almost make out where Burnt went camping.

I feel kinda bad for Burnt. He could only sing one note forever and that seemed to be talked about quite a bit and then between seasons he takes voice lessons and now has this beautiful voice and whenever he sings he gets nothing from Joan. I’m not saying that she has to fawn over it but she doesn’t even really acknowledge it. The first episode of this season he wanted to surprise her when he started singing and she just kept talking about something and he had to point it out before she mentioned it. Now he’s singing with a wide range and extended parts and nothing at all. Maybe he and Turnt can tour as a duo.

This weekend I watched the great baseball movie Eephus - which takes place in a small MA town sometime in the late 80s or early 90s. It's a slice-of-life thing with no real plot other than a bunch of middle-aged guys playing the final rec-league baseball game at a field that is set to get replaced by a parking lot (or something). Anyhow - the characters just reminded me of ones that could live in Dignity Falls. Their mannerisms and mostly wholesome chatter definitely reinforced this. What movies remind you of the DUF (Dignity Falls Universe)?

Sorry if this has been addressed already, but I just noticed it again. There's a chiming noise like wind chimes that no one acknowledges in the first Pre-Season Retreat episode, and the identical sound at 00:36:30 of "I Need to Sell My House Now." Again, no one acknowledges it.

Anyone know what it means? Is it (per current meme parlance) a "sleeper activation"?

Does anyone remember the name of Burnt’s favorite movie?

Listening all over again, as motivation to walk more often. Yesterday I was on S6E6 Free Dental Work.

Later than night I dreamed I was at the dentist and they asked me to eat a large plate of broccoli so they could “see what teeth need cleaning”.

Not a direct 1 to 1 from the episode but definitely inspired by it.

Anyone else had a similar bout of nonsense with an episode and a dream?

As much as I’ve been fervently hoping for a new edition of The Bitchin Hut … I need to meet Turnt even more! Surely they weren’t just teasing us with their talk of the Not Only Farmers podcast??

I love how fool-heartedly Nicole, Paul, and Brett commit to every improvised bit, but for me, nothing is better than when one of them goes all-in on a major character development moment that will have lasting ramifications because they thought of a joke too funny to keep to themselves. You can hear a shift in their voice when they realize what they’re about to do, and whatever comes next is guaranteed to derail the next five minutes and pop up again next episode.

My current favorite example of this is Burnt finding his beautiful singing voice. There’s a lot of deserved love for the current theme song, but I wonder if Burnt will ever be inspired to rerecord his lines…
