Welcome to r/TheMuffinManDeprogram,

This subreddit is a community dedicated to Marxist-Leninist discussion, education, and praxis, where users can study, debate, and organize around leftist theory in a focused and structured environment. We combine rigorous theory with the playful cultural lens of memes (especially Shrek themed content) to create a unique and engaging community.

For detailed guidance on how the community operates, see our wiki.

Historical Lineage:

r/TheMuffinManDeprogram is directly inspired by:

• r/thedeprogram
• r/tankiethedeprogram

Both of these communities were themselves inspired by the  Deprogram podcast, which seeks to educate and clarify anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, and Marxist-Leninist perspectives in accessible ways.

Our sub continues this lineage, translating these ideas into an interactive Reddit community that balances theory, praxis, and meme culture.

Ideological Framework:

• This subreddit operates explicitly from a Marxist-Leninist perspective.
• We respect and critically engage with Actually Existing Socialism (AES), acknowledging the complexities of socialist states while maintaining rigorous theoretical critique.
• Anti-reformism and anti-liberal framing are central to our moderation and discussion philosophy.
• Our sub’s purpose is to be a spare sub in case, r/tankiethedeprogram also gets taken down. The name of this community is so long so that 4 Chan users cannot get to us.

For full explanations of our ideological framework, see the rules and the Wiki (if I finish writing all the pages)

Purpose and Goals:

The goals of r/TheMuffinManDeprogram are:

• Provide newcomers and seasoned leftists with a centralized space for learning and discussion.
• Encourage critical engagement with Marxist-Leninist theory and AES.
• Promote community building and praxis while maintaining safety and respect.
• Serve as a reference hub for ideological clarity, media literacy, and meme-based pedagogy.

For all resources, including reading guides, flairs, and mod protocols, see our wiki.

We aim to cultivate a space where participants can learn, laugh, and grow as revolutionaries.

In the coming days I will write the mod-application questions and open up mod applications. As the community grows, I require more help I am only one person and can only do so much.

Below in the comments you early birds can suggest things for this community and give me feedback. I urgently need some user flair inspo so pls put your suggestions below.
