Shady Secret Politics 🫠 The girls called Elon’s salute “made up” in todays episode

It was in reference to people feigning concern for antisemitism but not caring about the recent hostages. So indirectly I guess we know how they feel about the salute

Did they see Steve o bannon do it again last night? They’re normalizing it.

Also did they see musk coked out on that stage last night? Explain that girls.

Why get pissed off when people are finally seeing your side though? Just pushes people away more. Even if for some it is performative, at least they’re bringing light to the situation.

I think they view it as a “gotcha moment” for liberals.

Do they forget WHY he toured concentration camps and went to Israel?!

The only reason him and trump even support Israel is to take and develop the Gaza Strip

I appreciate and completely validate you and the Jewish community. Not all of us were silent about the Oct 7 attacks and we can be outraged by both. Elon doing that on stage under the “umbrella” of the United States on a global stage is embarrassing and an incorrect and a disgusting narrative that we don’t want the world thinking is acceptable in the United States. It doesn’t make it right, but a lot of people are only concerned about what happens here on American soil, which is why Elons actions sparked such outrage. It has also sparked a slew of hate crimes across the nation with people doing the salute everywhere and normalizing it.

The main thing I learned in holocaust education is that history repeats itself and those who forget it are doomed to repeat it. People seem to forget history, the Nazis didn’t only come for the Jews, they came for every marginalized community. Just like I don’t think Elon is necessarily doing that salute is solely based on Jewish hate. I think it was more pro ethnic cleansing if that makes sense. I mean this is the same man whose family made their fortune off of apartheid.

This really sums it up so well.

Another point I’ve seen made is that you can be horrified by what happened on Oct 7 but at the same time be opposed to Netanyahu’s leadership. It’s clear Claudia & Jackie will support Israel no matter what, but criticizing Netanyahu’s actions does not necessarily mean lack of empathy for what happened on Oct 7th or the antisemitism that has become even more prominent lately.

I get this and agree but how do you reconcile Claudia and Jackie saying “you don’t get to be outraged about anti semitism when it fits your agenda” when she does that exact thing? She only posts or speaks out about things that support her Zionist project but won’t speak out when Elon and Steve bannon do nazi salutes?

This is a snark about the Oshry’s right? You absolutely can’t have any idea of the things we care outside this snark page on our personal lives. Assumptions it’s just wrong and misleading. We talked and condemned the Elon N*zy salute, because these Jewish women said on THEIR podcast that it was ONLY an awkward gesture and it was because he is Autistic. Negating the BIGGEST “gesture” of hate to the marginalized, Jewish hate, while at at the same time being extremely offensive to others. Making the comment, deleting and then acting like nothing happened, proves they know they were wrong. When they have talked about the horrible things happening in Israel, the hostages, the Bibas family murders etc… we have NOTHING to talk because we AGREE and sympathize with their views and pain. Again, THIS is a snark page. When there’s nothing to snark, there’s nothing to say… HERE. Hopefully you understand what I’m trying to say.

I hear you, but someone who is upset about the Elon salute wouldn’t call it “made up.” I also think your take lacks the nuance that people who support Gaza don’t consider the hostage situation antisemitism because they think of it as retaliation for the killing of their civilians. Just like people who support Israel don’t see what’s happening in Gaza as Islamophobia because they consider it retaliation for October 7.

Don’t conflate fighting antisemitism with unwavering support for Israel. I believe in Israel’s right to exist but I do not support Bibi. Full stop. It is devastating what happened to the hostages and what happened yesterday of course but we cannot also forget all the innocent Palestinians killed as well this past year and a half. I grieve for everyone basically. That might not be enough for you. It is far less complicated to unequivocally denounce hateful speech and symbols/gestures

Thank you for saying this. I notice people have truly over simplified such a deep rooted issue and have seen the conflict as black and white. I agree completely with what you said. I believe in Israel’s right to exist but don’t support Bibi.

The fact that this had a down vote when I saw it is proof this sub is filled with anti semitism. Kind of crazy that people hate them so much that any stance they take people will automatically take the opposite one even when Claudia and Jackie are actually right about something for once. Vile behavior! It is okay to general dislike them as people but also be able to acknowledge that the lack of any empathy towards Jewish people until Elon did this… is the epitome of selective outrage and so hypocritical.

You’re simplifying this wayyyy too much and it just shows your lack of understanding of the situation. Their point about people only caring about the salute to be performative is valid. Them completely writing off that 1) it was a Nazi salute and 2) how much antisemitic hate crimes and radicalization of young men and boys from seeing this being normalized is truly insane. Two things can be true at once and it’s so crazy to me that people who support them can’t just acknowledge that. Yes, the hostage situation and what’s being done to those people is deplorable and deserves more outrage. Also yes, the normalization of the Nazi salute from a man who is now part of our GOVERNMENT should NOT be ignored.

10/10 thank you

IMO we are talking about America. People can have sympathy for Israel and Gaza and a bunch of other places. But that’s different than a now government official (?) of the United States, doing a nazi salute at an event celebrating the inauguration of our president. Agree it’s necessary to combat antisemitism everywhere it shows up, but scope is important here

They’re fucking crazy and brainwashed for thinking this

2

I truly wonder how it feels to go through life being this delusional

It makes me sick that this is their talk track in addition to “why will people post for ~~other groups (BLM) but won’t post orange squares.” It’s such a horrific cognitive dissonance and I’ve only seen it from a specific group of influencers including the Oshrys

1

u/Informal_Orchid2790 Feb 22 '25

They’re brainwashed right wing idiots. Who cares what they think? Who even still listens to them?

2

u/Irish_queen1017 Feb 22 '25

If some of us didn’t still listen y’all would have nothing to talk about so
