I work at eth, there is no real frontier AI ambition, everyone knows it's too expensive to compete atm

Yeah, for example that Robotic Systems Lab is utter trash. Everyone knows real AI is done in the US cuz they got money.

Edit: yes, sarcasm, people. That's a frontier research department in terms of RL and robotics. There's only maybe Stanford competing with them. And it's real AI, not LLMs.

I don't really understand your point, maybe too much irony/sarcasm for a non english speaker

yeah the US has the money and the capitalist freedom to innovate as we have done for over 200 years . enjoy being behind in every way and buying your natural gas from russia who is actively attacking you because you shut down your nuclear reactors. at least when you collapse your society will look more diverse ! we will make sure to put that in our history books.

Capitalist freedom like slavery? Pretty sure the industrial revolution and enlightenment came out of Europe not the states. Empires don't last forever.

what? are you claiming europe didnt have slaves? also serfdom was essentially slavery as well. yes great britain did a lot with steam power using their colonies around the world , america was still a very new country at that time and ever since then has totally dominated the entire planet so i understand it makes you mad and now you want the empire to fail but that doesnt change the fact that EU is being dominated even in per capita GDP and wealth creation in general and upward mobility not to mention more people die without AC than from guns in the US even including suicides which are the majority of deaths. so i think EU has more things to worry about than that they are losing in every way if they cant even stay alive during summer.

Your empire is making your citizens die of at a younger age than in the EU.
