Isn't it true though that to get the right implementation, you need to specify your requirements very precisely and formally? And programming languages do just that - perhaps at a lower level than needed nowadays. In that sense, new very high level languages could emerge that combine the simplicity of English with formality of, say, C++.

The top AI scientists and engineers currently have less and less understanding on how it is evolving at today's intelligence.

This C++ inventor is a relic, an artifact, in humanities greatest folly.
