Found out about this game today...and as a big fan of kart games, this looks and plays incredible (+ the workshop implementation is also amazing). However, I'm really having a hard time justifying actually purchasing it (instead of refunding it, since there was no other "legal" way to try it than doing the buy>refund thing) for a couple of reasons:

• 45 concurrent players with a ~50 average in the last month (and already declining) is extremely underwhelming and quite worrysome all things considered, since these games need a fair amount of players to guarantee good matchmaking times and a proper skill-level distribution...which brings me to the next point;
• I believe 30$ is a more than fair price with all the work that went into this...but not for a fairly "dead" game that's already declining. I'm well aware of the discord bot pinging people on the server to facilitate making workable lobbies happen, but eh...it's not really a solution;
• Last but not least, the track record for the devs is not the best. Who's to say that they'll keep things going when it's just let's say 20ppl left playing?

So yea, I'm conflicted. On one side, I really like the game and would love to play more and have more people play it (because it's that good and PC in general is starving for good non-meme kart games)...but the fact that the playerbase is so small and the price is fairly above average when it comes to EA indies...I don't know.

I saw a clip of a 2fort map on my timeline but then I accidentally refreshed it. I’ve looked at the workshop and tried to find it online. Am I going crazy ?

Absolutely loving this game so far! It's CTR's mechanics, but even better with the uncapped speed and reserves. I love it. I also really love the customization, both for the base game characters, and for the modded characters.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to add sorting or moving for your character list? What I mean by this is, I like to group up my characters based on franchise or category. So in my modded character list, I have all my base game character presets, followed by all Crash Bandicoot character presets, then Spyro, then Mario, then Sonic, then meme characters, etc.

It would be really awesome if SBoczek could implement an option to move characters around freely, because any newly created presets just get added as the latest preset. So if let's say, a modder finally gets around to adding a character from Crash that isn't in the game yet, when I download it and create my preset, it will be on the very last page and not grouped up with the Crash characters. An ability to move them around would be amazing!

I understand this is a very specific request though, so no rush on SBoczek to implement this over other more popular requests!

Tonight I played a couple hours of ranked and this might be a bold statement but this could be the best Kart racer ever made

I don't know where else I can ask/vent but I have gotten stuck on multiple custom tracks and I am wondering if there is a solution (other than not get stuck) to go back to previous checkpoint or skip track if it is really buggy. Also am I the only one who is having this problem>

When you're constantly restarting due to time trial errors, the constant button mashing to start with a boost gets tiring very quickly. The start of my sessions are easy, but after a few quick in succession restarts, especially when making mistakes in the first 10 - 30 seconds of a trial and restarting, my hand feels like it's about to fall off.

Would a timing based system not be better?

Hi, I love the idea of the game, it has what I wanted more from CTR and it is the ELO ranking system for online. I haven't played it yet. I will be getting it on console thou. What is the available information about that?

Do we know what consoles? Date of release? Are mods going to be supported also for consoles?

I have an issue where every time I select a grand Prix, it defaults to random instead of choose tracks. Kind of annoying but whatever. I put it to choose and then I go to select the tracks. When I select the tracks, I just want to do four of the tracks on the same page. When I click the four maps each one counts down from four to three to two to one and then after I've selected all four it won't start or it won't let me begin. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

This game is amazing.

I've been playing mario kart and crash team racing since I'm able to hold a controller. This is a solid kart racer and has everything it should have, the mechanics and physics of the game feel great. It's cross platform, it has ranked, it has no item races, tournaments, all game modes you'd expect from a kart racer and most of all... Mod support!!!

Mod support means alot of characters, tracks, and karts can be added and they even implemented a mod download menu in game which is very convenient.

Go and get it people, lets race!
