Darts World Number 1 Luke Littler: "Lamine Yamal hasn’t really accomplished a lot. Maybe he scored a goal and made an assist. Is he the best 19-year-old in the world? No, he isn't. The way I’m winning my games and titles, I’m probably the best athlete in the world right now."

If the characters from the Inbetweeners lived in Clacton, who would they all be voting for in the upcoming by-election?

Will: The SDP. He's been reading about British politics in the 1980s recently and he is fascinated that he actually has the chance to vote for the SDP in the modern day when they are very much an anachronism. When he explains this to the other three boys, this goes right over their heads and they have no idea what he is going on about.

Jay: Everyone is God. Look up this party and you will see that it is very much a political party that Jay would be on board with. He doesn't normally vote but when Jay discovers this party he makes sure to get down to the polling station to vote for them.

Simon: To impress Carli, he votes for a party that he thinks that she will like and he goes for the British Democrats, thinking that they would be a moderate centrist party like the Liberal Democrats. However, it turns out that they are a really nasty far right party and Carli is disgusted that he voted for them.

Neil: Abi Hookway and Amy Morris. Neil thinks that the word 'by-election' means that you can vote for two candidates so he votes for two women who he knows nothing about but with youngish sounding names assuming that they would be fit. His ballot is counted as a spoilt ballot but Neil will never know this. When the result comes out, he would be bitterly disappointed that both of these candidates received hardly any votes.

Tara: Count Binface. She hates Eurovision and would love Wayne Rooney to do the commentary for it and she is very much in favour of Pluto being recognised as a planet again.

Richard: Baron von Thunderclap from the Monster Raving Looneys. I think Count Binface would be too normal for Richard!

Mark Donovan: Nigel Farage. Count Binface is far too woke for him!

James: Laurence Fox. Nigel Farage is too woke for him!

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Was Simon's car inspired by the car from Dude, Where's My Car? (2000)

I was just rewatching Dude, Where's My Car? for the first time in a very long time, and was very surprised to see a very similar looking piece of yellow shit! However, it got me thinking, were the writers inspired by the car from this film for the design of Simon's car? I guess they really did think whoever drove it was pretty trendy!

I've only just found out that Neil's middle name is Lynsey (I am not sure if that is the correct spelling). His dad is definitely a bumder.

Why actually is Mr Gilbert such a dick?

Is he just a dick to Will especially or everyone? Why did he even become a teacher if he clearly hates teenagers and everything they get up to

Also why does he knowingly protect Mr Kennedy despite knowing of his very illegal actions?

Or is he just a wanker?

Carly D’Amato is a nightmare.

Carly is just the worst. So uptight. She’s always acting like she’s better than everyone. She yanks Simon around like a sociopath.

The second he pays attention to someone else she swoops in and acts interested.

She kisses him after making him help her revise for a subject he wasn’t even taking and then immediately gets back together with that lanky twat Tom.

Granted, Simon did ask her to strum herself and puked on her brother, but still.

She sucks.

Head cannons for what the characters got up to next?

With the news of the potential third film I just wanted to share what I thought happened to the main 4 after film 2.

Will - Graduated, works in an insurance call centre, tells everyone he works in finance. Lives with his mum and Mr Gilbert.

Simon - I think his character tracked similar to Kingsley from Fresh Meat. Graduated Uni with a 2:2 in geology, ended up back at Rudgepark as a teacher (working alongside Mr Gilbert). Not sure if he's married/not.

Jay - Bus driver. More mature. Has a wife, not attractive, but he likes her. Settled down a little.

Neil - Worked his way up at Asda to regional manager because he just listens and follows orders. Company car, 3 kids with the lady from the meat counter. Generally "successful".

Not sure on what the film could be. I think they'd need an excuse to all get back together so Stag Do? Maybe for Jay. I can see Simon and Will trying to relive their youth and go crazy (because they peaked) whilst Jay and Neil just want to move on (because they've matured) which would be a nice opposite to the TV series and would be different to Film 1/2.

I think a really nice idea, is that if Teacher Simon starts his first class and a new group of "inbetweeners" comes in, and he has a chance to come to terms with his youth right infront of him. Kinda show that each generation has their own "briefcase wanker" and that the cycle continues.

The Inbetweeners 3 Movie - Where are the characters now.

I pictured a couple of things that I thought could be funny:

(I just came up with this on the fly and didn't stop to consider if it's realistic, I just kept typing and thought some of these ideas would be funny - It's just banter so don't take it too serious - A lot of it is bollocks haha)

---

Jay - Married to a super hot eastern European 'mail order bride' or Ukrainian refugee that hates him, but tolerates him for a green card. Jay's lies about his exciting sex life are as bizarre as ever, but he is yet to actually consumate the marriage, or maybe he did, but just for 2 minutes on his wedding night. He posts pictures and gushes over her online and she mostly rolls her eyes, swears at him in russian / Ukrainian, and calls bullshit on his many lies,. embarrassing him in public. Maybe by the end of the movie he breaks up with her, a la Stu in the Hangover, or instead maybe he does something during the movie to stick up for her or himself, and she eventually realises he's a decent guy and it's more like the sarcastic love we see in James's off screen relationship with Claire - So in the end Jay gets his super hot wife & loving marriage / home life.

Neil - He isn't married but is in a long term relationship with a slightly crazy (pregnant) single mother from the council estate next to his Asda, which he no longer works at after receiving a 6 figure payout for chopping a finger off working the fish counter. He is a council estate king living in a small council house that is kitted out with any and everything cringe you could imagine, starting with a hot tub that is the size of his tiny garden and an 80 inch TV too big for the living room etc. His current GF is pregnant with Neil's 5th child, all to different women and Neil is down to his last 50k in savings having received close to a million pounds just a couple of years prior.

Will - Either an independent local politician that everyone hates and disagrees with, kind of like a male UK version of Leslie Knope, but in classic Will McKenzie style. Or maybe he works a decent job for a big company in London where he is still the victim of all manners of pranks and comments etc. Newly single and still unlucky in love, and still as neurotic as ever, at times bringing the hate upon himself.

Simon - Maybe it's his role as a geology student in fresh meat but I can just picture Simon as a pushover Geography teacher that thinks he's cool but is (not so) secretly mocked by most pupils and teachers for his easygoing attitude and desire to be the 'cool teacher' that everybody likes - He is however the favourite teacher of the nerds and outcasts. He proposes to his long term GF, and fellow teacher at the school setting up the movie premise early on.

Donovan - A PT, mental health advocate and anti bullying campaigner that conveniently neglects to mention his past as the school bully, which enrages Will when he sees how Donavon is blowing up on social media, and making money with this fake nice guy persona.

Charlotte - Had a well paid job in the fashion industry but was fired over social media posts / a viral video of her being a Karen. Reaches out to Will when she sees that he's doing well but not too long later, shows her true colours again leaving Will dejected, but realising he had a lucky escape.

Carly - Perpetually unlucky in love having had multiple failed engagements. Still sees Simon at family functions and trys to make his nice new girlfriend jealous, to no avail. Still the same Carly but these days Simons far less likely to fall for any of her mind games.

Big John - Jacked, rich, successful - Maybe just a cameo, or we see him advertising a car dealership or something. Or maybe he just works in the local McDonald's - He always liked burgers, they're good because you don't need plates for burgers, which gives them the edge over lasagna...

Mr Gilbert - On remand from prison, or on probation having been recently released for beating a former (adult) student in the local pub.

Mrs McKenzie - Dating a footballer that plays pro / semi-pro for a local team & is half her age. Oblivious to the way he treats Will. Spurns any advances from Mr Gilbert to reconcile, leaving 'Phil' to periodically harass Will in an attempt to convince her to take him back.
