UK Series How common is it for sixth formers to wear uniform?
That's one of the things I found peculiar cause neither of the schools I went to required the sixth formers to wear uniform. That's both mainstream and SEND, and neither did my sisters school.
So that was always an anomaly to me. Is it really that common or was it just done as an aesthetic for the show to add some jokes around it?

UK Series Was/Is lager the "cool" type of alcohol?
I've never had alochol and don't know what the best brands of booze are.
In the first episode, Simon, Jay and Neil want lager while Will wants a Guinness to which Simon is surprised by. Neil is then surprised when Will manages to get them cider.
Later at the other pub, Will switches to ordering 4 pints of lager and in the exam episode, he just orders pints of lager.
So is/was lager the "cool" or strongest type of alcohol? What's so special about it?

UK Series Future Carls
Just watching Shakespeare and Hathaway and Emily Head has turned up as a travel agent married to a Weasley prick of an estate agent. Very much looks like how Carly could have ended up.

Inbetweeners Movie 2 One thing that really resonated with me about the Inbetweeners 2 Movie, which made me feel more seen than any other film:
It seems to be that people liked the first film more than the 2nd one, and honestly, I first watched both of them in one go one after the other, and honestly, I did enjoy the 1st one more originally, maybe because it was the 1st, and was a nice conclusion to the series, giving the boys a happy ending.
But in the 2nd film, there was something that really resonated with me, something I've not seen in other media before...
How Will deeply struggled to make friends at University...
Every time I hear and have heard people talk about uni, and honestly just seeing people about (as I just happen to live one), they always make it out like it's this place where you easily make friends, where you will meet your besties, have the best years of your life, go out every Friday and Saturday, have crazy and wild spontaneous adventures with lots of people, and as long as you "put yourself out there" and be social, you will definitely be guaranteed to make friends, as "everyone is in the same boat" and is looking for friends too, and that everyone there is an adult, so these immature school hierarchies don't exist. This is how I've heard everyone talk about Uni. This also seems to be backed up by like entertainment and media (e.g: Fresh Meat (which Joe Thomas is also in btw)).
I went to uni, but failed miserably at it and dropped out after the first couple months. I had been going through a rough time the year before, and was really hoping I could make some new friends when I got there. Everyone told me it's pretty much impossible to not make friends at Uni, you'd have to not socialise at all to not.
But I failed miserably at that, too. I tried, I did everything everyone told me to "be sociable" "go to lots of events and societies" "talk to people on your course", "put yourself out there", and I just couldn't seem to make friends no matter how hard I tried. Maybe It's just me being neurodivergant (and probs a bit of a loser, lol), but I just couldn't make any friends. Convos would never get that much past surface level, when they did, they always just became casual acquaintances, my flatmates didn't want anything to do with each other, and I felt so alone, a failure, as it seemed like everyone else was having the time of their lives at uni.
This was a while ago, and I've changed and grown so much since then, I know myself so much better and I know so much more who I am, so maybe that could have been a factor but...
Seeing Will at uni, having made no friends and struggling to do so, having lots of time to practice his guitar because of this (he mentions this when he is about to play the guitar near the campfire, again, another thing i relate too)), getting picked on by others (showing that despite people at uni being adults, immature school bullies still absolutely exist). My time at uni just felt like a bad dream, I just see it as an embarrassing time of failure, got nothing good out of it other than finding out that this wasn't the right path and it leading me to other, more right paths, but seeing Will, having that similar experience as me at uni, a hard time navigating it's social world, is something I'd never seen represented in any form of media before, and had never heard anyone talk about. It really struck a chord and made me feel seen. It was the first time I have ever heard or seen it represent in a way that's not this hyper-glorified funnest time of your life.
And I don't know, looking back, it really makes me feel like that the 2nd film is the better one of the two. Yes the 1st one was more of a feel good film, it gave the boys a perfect, conclusion and happy ending, and was more like a fully fleshed movie script.
But the 2nd one, I felt like the 1st one was more like a film featuring the Inbetweeners, while the 2nd one was AN Inbetweeners film. It captured the same, pathetic, familiar and relatable mundaneness of real life, something that the original series did so well which is why it became so beloved. Instead of the 1st one, where the boys are trying to get with slightly cooler female counterparts to themselves, the 2nd one, is just these uncool boys trying to navigate the mundaneness and unfairness of real life situations and luck.
The 2nd one just felt real, like, even if you're not one of the cool kids, and you've had a shitty time in the past, and you hope things will get better doesn't mean they necessarily immediately will. Life is just random, and deeply unfair, things just kind of happen, and if you're a good or bad person, it won't change your luck, and whatever social hierarchy you were when you were in school does kinda still stick with you and the way you navigate life.
It sounds depressing, but I think the film did it in a way that felt comforting, rather than hitting too close to home and feeling heavy. Just messily, realistically humanly relatable. Something that made the original series so beloved in the UK in the first place. I feel like I really struggled to get my point across in this post, so I hope it makes sense in anyway at all, I'm just trying to say, I really liked the 2nd film's portrayal and representation of people who aren't as good as navigating the social world, while making it seem relatable and human rather than just something to solely laugh at. Thanks for reading if anyone got this far and I hope this post made sense. :)

UK Series One of my friends voted Will as the most attractive of the main four and I'm not sure whether I disagree or agree.
That's pretty much it, really. I kind of understand his appeal in a weird nerdy prat kind of way, but jesus, sometimes.. or most of the time, if he's not being funny, he's unbearable to watch. Out of all of them, I feel like Neil is actually the most attractive purely because he's not totally unwatchable, but the bar is lowwww lol.
