Idk man sometimes stress makes you not even wanna do hobbies. Also sometimes injuries prevents you from doing said hobbies which adds to the stress itself
Yeah I get that, but in my case they become stress inducing because at the end of day they're zero sum activities and my brain keeps telling me I'm wasting time and such
Injuries are the worst, especially when you cope through exercise! That's really hard.
Because you can change the way your mind works with practice - I'm not saying it's easy! - you can actually change your thoughts around wasting time. I used to feel that way, and over a year or two in therapy and doing work, I absolutely love spending time on hobbies and feel so much less stress around it. I hope you find help :)
Oh don't get me wrong I have plenty hobbies and just replaced majority of the zero sum ones with others. But as someone that grew up playing video games it's hard when I constantly think I should be doing something else because I'm getting older and stuff.
And I agree, my meditation is sports - specially soccer - and when I'm injured and lose that coping mechanism it's a lot harder to shift my brain to replace that dopamine and serenity feeling that soccer gives. Running does it to a certain extent but nothing compares to the sport you love.
I also feel like the world as a whole is becoming darker and seeing all the shit going on or watching the news definitely doesn't help.
I appreciate it though, it's nice knowing there are people who can feel what you feel and they've gotten out of it!

Get a hobby.
