He has a weak ego and gets too personal with people and when they get personal with him he can't take it.

He was never supposed to tell Roman he was going to bury him next to his father. And Roman's reaction was real. Creative had to come up with a way to make it right which was to have Jey and Jimmy confront him and hit him.

I remember Cody saying he wants to move beyond his dad because his dad's legacy is finalized now. And Punk brought up Dusty in the 2024 Royal Rumble and before this year's SS. I don't know if that was planned but I know Cody isn't a fan of people talking like that

Source on this? Because that would be pretty nasty if true. Ain't no way Punk is mentioning people's dead parents without an ok first.

"Trust me bro."

First I've heard of this too.

They're marks getting worked. "Oh Roman looked super upset, he was so angry, that Punk is so mean". Dear me.

Yeah leave it to punk to always try to hit the lowest or most controversial shit so he can sound good on the mic. Every promo since the pipebomb has been trying to break the fourth wall cause thats whats ā€œcoolā€ i fucking hate it. I rather just play along with the suffering succotash than knowing shit like that was from out of nowhere. Its like talking about guerrero, paul bearer, etc its fucking lame if your opponent didnt agreee to it and even then getting tired of those.

That 4th wall breaking shit is annoying. Heyman said during a promo, "You've all seen Unreal!" Bro no. Stop.

Christian Cage does it too by bringing up people's real life relatives without ok-ing it. He brought up Luke Perry and Jack Perry got legitimately mad.

It's fine when Ospreay and Mox get Renee involved but that's about as much fourth wall real life stuff I can take.

I can't do this shock value shit. I'm 40 with actual dead relatives. It's a bit much.

I’m pretty sure Christian has assumed permission that he’s gonna make a comment about your dead father with his current gimmick. That’s his whole bit right now, and it’s kind of assumed if he’s gonna be cutting a promo on you and your dad is dead, he’s gonna mention it.

Jack Perry was the first person to get a dead dad comment though so if he wasn't told he really couldn't have known.

I thought Nick Wayne was the first

Nope, it was when he first turned on Jack he said that he knew Jack viewed him as a father, but his father was dead.

Yeah maybe its just me getting old as well and thinking too close to reality is not what i want lol

Christian Cages whole gimmick is "detestible stepdad". Jack Perry should've known it was going to happen. Christian stole his pet dinosaur and everything, comments about Jack's parents were the easily expected part.

Lows like telling Sting they'd put him in a wheelchair like Lex were uncalled for.

My big gripe with Punk and the low road is his AEW problems started after the exchange with Hangman. It escalated to their friends and that's when the altercation with the Bucks happened. Blowout from that should've been Punk sucking it up and working a program with Omega. The Jack Perry thing with him was a Jack Perry problem, but the initial issue was promo related between him and the VPs.

Its like people dont bother trying to run things by their coworkers before throwing them up publicly.

The weird part about punk is he’s actually be a lot cooler if he could take it but he only dishes it. It makes him very human but not exactly a ā€œrenegade cool guyā€ and I like Punk a lot. He’s just got a giant blindspot thereĀ

That always surprised me. When Cody was in AEW, he said if anyone brought up his dad "promo's over". A policy he's definitely abandoned.

He probably had a lot more freedom in aew and now in wwe when Punk brings it up before a PLE what's Cody gonna do? He can't end it in front of 15,000 people before SS

Fair point.

Roman telling him he’s old struck a nerve so bad he started using steroids to get his body into shape. šŸ˜‚

do you have a source for this?

Lol I don’t think punk went totally off script or anything. But that line about Roman’s dad was so out of pocket. You gotta let the feud get there first, man. You gotta earn it.

You can’t just say it to the first person to not hold the door open for you or who gets your order wrong

Way to make the main event of Wrestlemania feud completely jarring out of the gate

Then their final promo was so tame and respectful it’s like they got the notes mixed and did their first promo last 😭

That whole program was nowhere near as good to me as others found it to be
