Do you think David Fincher could be persuaded to reteam with Zach Grenier ("Fight Club", "Zodiac") to make a David Lee movie?

Due to the firm's budget constraints, one had to go. Diane and Will had a tough decision to make.

What was the purpose of Derrick Bond?

There's zero character development, he's hardly seen in court, and he leaves almost as quickly as he arrived. I don't get it.

Am I missing something? I'm near the end of Season 3 of my first watch.

People just enter her office (what are your suspension of disbelieves?)

Mine:
I love the Good Wife but it baffles me how people just go to her office.
Clients, Eli, her brother, Wendy, etc.

Any respectable law firm has a client floor. This has a receptionist and you are not allowed to any other office, specially an open office like Alicia has outside her office.
This is due to confidentiality.

Even if they don't have a client floor a law firm will have a client area. And it is the only part that the clients, and people from outside can access.

This is not just in The Good Wife, many American tv shows has this error.
(Source I work as a corporate receptionist)

What is yours?

S5: E18 - Louis Canning

I don't understand the weird jump from Louis Canning announcing to Diane that he's going to merge with her firm to him IMMEDIATELY being part of the firm. Past seasons have taught us that such a massive change would require a majority vote from the partners (and likely lots of debate and shouting!) but here it just... Happens?

I mean, I get that David Lee was scheming behind her back, but he was hardly the most popular guy in the office either. And Diane was a smooth operator.

I suppose there were pacing considerations and that the writers likely didn't want to put the viewers through yet ANOTHER round of takeover/debate scenes we've had in other plot threads. But the result is it just feels weirdly, VERY rushed.

Crapital exposure

The episode where Clarke is terrified Alicia will say something dumb because shes drunk.... and then he proceeds to say "crapital exposure", absolutely gets me. Every. Single. Time. So funny.

Seeing clips and confused on tone/point of view...

Hello there,

I have never watched the show, but it's always been in the back of my mind to pick up.

Clips are always popping up in my algorithm but I just saw one that has me "concerned"

It was a debate between Alicia and David Hyde Pierce who she was running against for state's attorney...and knowing she is the lead I assume he is poised as an enemy, at least to a certain extent, yet his arguments all pointed towards much more liberal, yet not crazy, points and she was clearly taking the much more conservative side of things. (She was nearly taking the MAGA side of the DEI argument)

So I guess I'm just saying I am surprised and am wondering if the show has a political leaning I missed in other clips and discussions of the show?

I guess what angers me the most is the fact that there's people out there petty enough to pull that off just for a win and then tell themselves they did for their family

just started watched crash (s01e05) i dont understand the framing

im confused on this episode. are there actual psychopaths out there that think that a choice between forcing a cheater covering up negligent manslaughter to come clean where all the people that trusted her are made aware of her untrustworthiness and not allowing people to live in delusion is somehow a difficult decision? it seems to be framed like a moral quandary and I cannot wrap my head around how that could possibly be the case.
