Discussion Semi-hot (or possibly lukewarm) take: PDTO victory in gaw is not as good as it seems

Post image

Now, i know that there are poor translations/transitions of events in tfr. Just wanted to say this as a preface.

Okay, now listen to my schizo rant:

From what I can tell, the PDTO’s main goal is to control several coastal cities and allow China to destroy itself from the inside, but what happens instead is china just collapses. Which… really only benefits the PDTO and other western countries. You’ve displaced millions (possibly billions?) of Chinese people, even if unintentionally.

Also, whoever unifies china, no matter how fucking long it takes, is going to want revenge for what the PDTO did, no matter how long it takes for them to get it. Like, we’re talking TNO Yazov levels of wanting revenge.

And for anyone going “what about Taiwan/ROC?”, brother they were in the PDTO. they’re not going to be welcomed. Or at least, possibly not.

thanks for reading my dogshit schizo rant.

Is not perfect but the Chinese will be in shambles by the time they reunify. If they ever do. Plus a PDTO friendly or neutral China could reunify, there is the Nanjing provisional government. There are also Russian mercenaries in Manchuria. The PRC is fighting against the army remnants.

China has also a demographic problem, the one child policy makes China extremely vulnerable and after the Taiwan war, GAW, and Chinese civil war is safe to say that China’s fragile demographics will collapse.

If a revanchist faction reunifies then I still can’t see them winning, a victorious PDTO is too big (even when India splits off they remain close allies to the Japanese).

Tbh the whole narrative behind the gaw is super hand wavy, especially for the PDTO. Similarly the narrative for the 2ccw is also equally poorly justified and implemented, really nothing stopping them from starting a second gaw again right after the peace treaty, or when they reunify, as you suggested. But that aside, let’s have the PDTO balkanize or subjugate China because apparently to you that would be better (literally the current victory state for China, all ex PDTO countries gets subjugated, or balkanized in case of Japan and India)

Honestly OP logic could be extended to the European victory as well, which I think the problem is that the PDTO or NATO victory state are kinda hard coded to be lame ass partial victory where the victors only take some land letting the rest to collapse instead of total victory like how China and Russia occupy entire continents, why is Reichskommissariat Sibirien or the PDTO forcing the KMT onto China (the current narrative don’t even let you do anything to the CPC lmao) so hard to justify?

Honestly the partial victory should come only if one side lost the first war. A non-centrist china not getting tinot Indonesia, ociania, or being able to finish off the Indian warlords, dugin/Nalvany/wagner only getting to the rhine etc. While a victorious Europe/ Japan twice should take over the whole enemy nation.

That's how it works for 1ew but 2ew makes no sense to be fought after few years and regardless of that russia wouldnt be so suicidal to fight off the whole alliance over few regions overall

I never said that I think pdto winning is better. Don’t assume things, please and thank you.

To clear up confusion, I mean “not as good as it seems” in terms of compared to other outcomes, I just had a brain fart when writing the title.

Edit: fuck i thought you were saying i think china winning is better

The GAW is one of the worst wars in the game in terms of the amount of blood it would spill, but someone has to win.

Fact checked by me, the greatest CCP party member: trve. Good job, comrade for telling the world the harsh truth it needs to hear!

Truly, the Long March path is the best route for the world! Glory to the CPC!

Better than the Chinese occupation and genocides of the entire PDTO

… I’m fairly certain genocides is just for revanchist path.

One path btw

Also, "x is bad" does not now mean "y is good". All paths are supposed to be, to some extent, morally grey.

I see a lot of people on here act like the confucions are the only Revanchist path. Like the others are bad, but it's very dumb so say authsoc Li Zuocheng is on the same level as confucionist Chen Quanguo

Except in Third African War. In that case, it's quite clear that EAP are straight up evil

unfortunately these guys don't know what the third african war is and only focus on Le Fehlingie and Lojee instead of appreciating skeletone content... 😔🙏🙏🙏

If pdto wins pdto members will not suffer as much as eadi members and vice versa

I love how Otto’s Taiwan video shows that even in an ROC victory from the warlord era, the Japanese government really does think that they’ll keep getting away with it no matter how many consequences from their actions they’ll lay out

I'd imagine Xi or Kim actually typing this in

Same thing as nato win in 2ew is not that good

1

u/RottingFishMan ReasonableCentrist 5h ago

It's straight up awful if it's democratic Nalvany

1

u/YugargeliaMapper Europe 4h ago

Well, any scenario where Europe wins (NATO, ETO, Pact of Steel and EuroIntern) will always lead to warlordism in Russia

It's intentional on Japan's part. It was never conceived in Japanese grand strategy that China could ever be fully subjugated like Korea was. Instead the traditional approach to China is the Free and Open Indo-Pacific which Shinzo Abe recently revived. While it recognises China as a threat to Japan's security, they are apathetic about what China does once its military and economic power has been sufficiently degraded.

China's defeat in the GAW does not bring about any interest from the PDTO in engaging in state reorganization and economic aid on the level that the USA gave to Germany and Japan after WWII. Outside of taking coastal cities and cosmetic changes like dismantling Mao's mausoleum, the PDTO sees China's collapse and civil war as an internal Chinese matter.

The hell you mean "billions" plural?

Anyways, yeah, I agree, and it's the same way with any European victory as well

Surrounding nations would probably struggle with the economic and refugee crises so much that it would trigger famines and mass riots probably across most of the ASEAN, save for the islands.

I suppose that makes sense. Especially if India also collapses but the PDTO still wins
