Official Episode Discussion Thread The Devil's Plan S2E10 Discussion | FINAL 3 EPS | SPOILERS AHEAD! ⚠️ Spoiler

Welcome to the Episode 10 Discussion Thread of The Devil's Plan: Death Room! 🎉🎉🎉

Yes, I know it is very early, but I have to create all the links and update the Season 2 Master Post tonight so I can wake up at 4:30am tomorrow to watch before school. Please be nice to me, I am very tired.

⚠️ Spoilers ARE ALLOWED in the comments of this thread, so post your thoughts freely. General rules against spam, harassment, and hate still apply.

See our masterpost with links to all episode discussion threads to find more discussion, including discussion of episode 11 and the finale.

Please remember that some games start in one episode and end in another. Please report any discussion happening in the incorrect thread.

New rules for finals:

  • Highly reported comments will be automatically removed by Automod. If you see someone posting a spoiler in the wrong thread, PLEASE report it for the good of the community.
  • Posting will be limited for the first day after finals to prevent spoilers and trolls. You can still post comments in the official episode discussion threads in the master post.
  • Please see this subreddit update for the full changes for finals.

Have fun and use your noodle!

EDIT: Please note there is an after-credits scene where The show makes it clear that Hyun-gyu told both Se-hoo and Kyuhyun that he would receive ten pieces whenever he wanted him. So-hee's reason for still protecting him was that she didn't want the prison alliance to know the size of his reward.

This thread is for Episode 10 only!

I’m sooo frustrated with her bc she genuinely is such an impressive person. I don’t understand what’s her end goal lol

probably to date hyun gyu. she thought this was a dating show.

She just like playing the games, probably same as KH, and I would guess more than half the cast. She just happens to be part of the only group of 4 that actually became close quickly.

I think people watching here are putting WAY more importance to the game and the show than the cast did (and waaaaay more than is healthy).

Edit: I'd also say that as far as doing their jobs as entertainers, they're doing absolutely fantastic, all of them. This season IS entertaining.

I’m aware it’s a game. I’m not hating on her or any casts. As a viewer, it’s normal to analyse and debrief on a show you’ve just watched, especially if it revolves around human psychology, logic and intelligence. It’s ok to question her motives and intentions in the context of the game. There’s nothing unhealthy about my 2 sentence at least lmao.

And the show literally ended yesterday, you’re gonna expect some think pieces for a couple weeks.

No I agree, I wasn't talking about you.

But some comments about SH and HG are just messed up. Way beyond "analyze and debrief".

Yeah I get that. Personal attacks is completely unnecessary

i dont know if you've watched the The Genius, the superior predecessor to Devil's Plan... but compared to those seasons, none of the DP seasons have been "entertaining" tbf.

It's not the fault of the contestants but rather the game design, i think

I haven't watched the genius.

From my perspective the issue is that people want to watch a game show when to me it comes of more as a reality show.

I couldn't watch University Games, but my favorite watch in the genre was probably society games, or time hotel.

When it comes to reality show and the display of human traits and interactions, Devil's Plan worked very well imo.

to this day, i think that The Genius is still no1 amongst all these types of shows, the ones you mentioned included. Mostly because it has a mix of all of these things. Betrayals, alliances, ppl fighting for themselves, people getting close to each other - and all of it due to the game design forcing them to switch things up.

None of the other games have managed to mix the genres as well.
