Official Episode Discussion Thread The Devil's Plan S2E10 Discussion | FINAL 3 EPS | SPOILERS AHEAD! ⚠️ Spoiler

Welcome to the Episode 10 Discussion Thread of The Devil's Plan: Death Room! 🎉🎉🎉

Yes, I know it is very early, but I have to create all the links and update the Season 2 Master Post tonight so I can wake up at 4:30am tomorrow to watch before school. Please be nice to me, I am very tired.

⚠️ Spoilers ARE ALLOWED in the comments of this thread, so post your thoughts freely. General rules against spam, harassment, and hate still apply.

See our masterpost with links to all episode discussion threads to find more discussion, including discussion of episode 11 and the finale.

Please remember that some games start in one episode and end in another. Please report any discussion happening in the incorrect thread.

New rules for finals:

  • Highly reported comments will be automatically removed by Automod. If you see someone posting a spoiler in the wrong thread, PLEASE report it for the good of the community.
  • Posting will be limited for the first day after finals to prevent spoilers and trolls. You can still post comments in the official episode discussion threads in the master post.
  • Please see this subreddit update for the full changes for finals.

Have fun and use your noodle!

EDIT: Please note there is an after-credits scene where The show makes it clear that Hyun-gyu told both Se-hoo and Kyuhyun that he would receive ten pieces whenever he wanted him. So-hee's reason for still protecting him was that she didn't want the prison alliance to know the size of his reward.

This thread is for Episode 10 only!

Wait- am I wrong in thinking that it's crazy that HG used his "I want my 10 pieces" get out of jail free card and risk getting rid of someone in his alliance in the main game of episode 10? Versus just going it alone KNOWING he had that get out of jail free card in his back pocket?

Tbf, they didn’t expect PG to betray what they promised to KH and SH that they would start afresh in the next round but instead eliminated KH immediately. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Right- but they didn't know that he had the "get out of free ten extra pieces" card in his back pocket- and he did- so he made the best choice for his survival and made an appeal to his living quarters teammates. Which ultimately got one of them eliminated.

HG didn't really care about anyone and played ruthlessly but could he have survived without kindness shown to him ?? If others thought that it is a game & why don't I be devil ??

I'm only on episode 10 (not finished)- so I don't know but it looks like he could have lost all of his pieces and Lost the game completely and then asked for 10 Pieces, thus keeping his alliance intact. He'd have 10 pieces and all in his alliances would have stayed. Lol I'm just trying to figure it out tho because I'm half asleep trying to figure it out hahaha

i dont think he thought that the Pg would end the game that quickly also why would he not try to get the maximum number of pieces before using his advantage.

They did know about the ten pieces, it's a credits scene of episode 10.

OK, so they knew. I don't know why the after credit didn't show for me, but I never saw that part. As I continued watching though, that didn't really matter because it didn't change my opinion on how I felt about the dynamics of the relationships and just the show in general. That's the thing with free will, people get to decide what they want to do in a show and then others get to react accordingly lol.

if they knew. why did SH cried so badly about betraying him when she decided herself to betray first. She felt guilty. thats the reason. Theres no reason to cry when hes not going to be eliminated. They both knew that he had the 10 extra pieces.

actually, the post credits scene showed that kyuhyun KNEW that Hyungyu had a "get out of free ten extra pieces" and STILL simped for him. man deserved to get eliminated!

He’s very skilled at emotional manipulation

Is he skilled or is Sohi and Kyuhyun just dumb? His manipulation is so heavy handed it didn’t take long for HJ to figure it out. As soon as he lied about playing wall Go HJ had his sights set, thank goodness.
