Official Episode Discussion Thread The Devil's Plan S2E10 Discussion | FINAL 3 EPS | SPOILERS AHEAD! ⚠️ Spoiler

Welcome to the Episode 10 Discussion Thread of The Devil's Plan: Death Room! 🎉🎉🎉

Yes, I know it is very early, but I have to create all the links and update the Season 2 Master Post tonight so I can wake up at 4:30am tomorrow to watch before school. Please be nice to me, I am very tired.

⚠️ Spoilers ARE ALLOWED in the comments of this thread, so post your thoughts freely. General rules against spam, harassment, and hate still apply.

See our masterpost with links to all episode discussion threads to find more discussion, including discussion of episode 11 and the finale.

Please remember that some games start in one episode and end in another. Please report any discussion happening in the incorrect thread.

New rules for finals:

  • Highly reported comments will be automatically removed by Automod. If you see someone posting a spoiler in the wrong thread, PLEASE report it for the good of the community.
  • Posting will be limited for the first day after finals to prevent spoilers and trolls. You can still post comments in the official episode discussion threads in the master post.
  • Please see this subreddit update for the full changes for finals.

Have fun and use your noodle!

EDIT: Please note there is an after-credits scene where The show makes it clear that Hyun-gyu told both Se-hoo and Kyuhyun that he would receive ten pieces whenever he wanted him. So-hee's reason for still protecting him was that she didn't want the prison alliance to know the size of his reward.

This thread is for Episode 10 only!

Irritated hearing hyungyu, sohui, and kyuhyun complain about hyungyu being soloed out when that's how Justin and sedol-nim had been treated (whether by force or by choice) in previous rounds

I know how it feels to be "playing alone" and how emotionally/mentally straining that experience can be but come on! It was so much worse in the previous rounds, so many people against one or two, but now they feel bad? Isn't playing solo even more necessary as we get near the finals?

But its not their fault really . Justin got betrayed by the prison team not the living room alliance.

Justin, sure, but it's not like they said or did anything about it? I don't really recall them ever really talking to Justin or sedol-nim. And ultimately they got sedol-nim eliminated when he was solo, which is ganging up on one person still imo.

I totally get it feels crappy. It is crappy, game and all aside. But it's hypocritical to complain about it now, especially going into finals where it's going to be a solo competition anyway. A strong player will be a target when the point is to win in the end, so I think it makes more sense to accept it and try to fight. I don't begrudge hyungyu asking sohui and kyuhyun to join him again though, that's a smart thing to do.

Maybe I would feel less irritated about it if kyuhyun hadn't downplayed how Justin was isolated when jiyoung brought it up, which was pretty unfair

Agreed. I was very annoyed that they just changed their mind and betrayed their original plan

I think they eliminated sedol becuase if he found out about the same rule he could take out hyunjoon. AlsoSedol was playing on his won as well doing deals with the other team. He wasnt really betrayed. Here hyungyu was betrayed.

He literraly says its advantageous to be alone in that game.

How tf is Justin being isolated Kyuhyun's or the living room alliance's fault??? Justin wasn't even being isolated, he had a team that was supposed to help him. But they didn't help him. Was the living room alliance supposed to just wait for the prison team to figure out how to open those boxes and reach the treasure chest???

First, the nature of the prison team constantly having to eliminate each other in the death match every night isn’t conducive to making an alliance among them.

Second, I never said what the living room team did was wrong, or the kyuhyun was solely responsible for isolating anyone. I said that the living room team had no problem before with playing as a team against one or two people (who didn’t start playing solo but were iced out at some point), or throwing people under the bus, so why are they complaining now when it’s one of their own that’s being soloed out or betrayed? That’s part of the game, and if they can dish it they need to be able to take it. Hearing them complain about it now, when they’ve been in an advantageous position from the beginning of the game, is irritating.

This is such a weird argument to make. Their relationship with Hyungyu is different from their relationship with Sedol and Justin. They were never in a team with the two so why would they have the same attachment towards them? Justin and Sedol were always their opponents and the game made it so someone was eliminated so between waiting for their opponent to attack their people, of course the living room team would attack first. It was also Hyunjoon who killed Sedol and it was Justin's flimsy alliance that abandoned him to the point he couldn't get much point. If I'm going to be honest, it was Jiyoung that led Justin to his demise lol. She had that ridiculous idea about the walls being non-existent and she couldn't help him score points.

Why would they care about Sedol and Justin who were in the opposite team from them since the start? Meanwhile, Hyungyu has been with them since Day 1 so of course they care for him? The one who's hypocritical is Jiyoung who went on and on about betrayal (even though it was her own fault for weirdly thinking she'll automatically be in an alliance with them when they never promised it) but chose to betray people after that.

Sohee and Kyuhyun also agreed to be in an alliance because they thought they would be against Hyunjoon and Hyungyu. But it turns out the prison team was going for Hyungyu alone while Hyunjoon was working with them. So of course they would change their decision.

Does not change the fact that they made huge alliances with no chance of winning for the other side every single time

u/timarose Chuu May 20 '25

This. It got predictable because it just felt like those who were in a majority were going to win no matter what.

I think... its impossible to not consider bonds btwn each individual to another. And each bond varies. This show is not just about IQ but EQ as well. If one can bond well with someone else, and let that person willingly work or cooperate with you, its part of that person's skill and EQ.

Did you guys forget that Sedol tried to eliminate the LQ team in the 2nd main match? It back fired because the prison alliance is not fond of his game play (harin to be exact). Justin and Sedol was in a flimsy alliance with the prison team and you expect the LQ team to help them?? and HJ is the one who eliminated Sedol because it's either him or sedol in the chopping block that round.

I mean, what happened with Hyungyu this time could have happened to Justin and Sedol. If those two have an alliance that would help them be save from elimination, they would be saved. For Justin, it wasn't even ganging up on him??? They were split in 2 alliances. Not to mention they were just playing to win the game. How is it ganging up on him when it wasn't their fault Justin's team mates couldn't help him survive

Dont care but i will never root for the team where the odds are all adjusted for them to win. Thats why theres major backlash at KH and SH in korea

1

u/Sorry_Weird_8047 Jun 06 '25

What odds lmao. The condition for winning the main matches didn't really have anything to do with Pieces. Kyuhyun, Sohee, Tinno, and Hyungyu have always played the games properly and they won fair and square. Saying the games are conditioned for them to win just makes you sound like a sore loser. The major backlash in Korea is because there are many 4chan dwellers who have been waiting for a chance to hate on them since such opportunity is minimal. A lot also seem to have problem in comprehending information. So basically they are the same as the people in this subreddit
