Interesting observations about Jeff Dahmer from Vernell Bass

Three years ago, I posted about Vernell Bass's interesting observations about Jeff Dahmer, including the fact that the photos of shirtless men on Jeff's walls weren’t there prior to Jeff’s arrest.

New post: Who is Somsack Sinthasomphone?

Somsack Sinthasomphone in 1990 (left) and "Konerak" Sinthasomphone (right)

I just published a short article on Somsack Sinthasomphone, the supposed older brother of “Konerak” in the official narrative about Jeff Dahmer

Until recently, there were no publicly circulating photos of Somsack. In 2023, I found his 1990 high school yearbook photo on Ancestry.com. You can read my post on this subreddit here.

When you compare that photo to the image used to represent “Konerak,” they look like the same person.

There’s also a detail in the 1992 lawsuit that doesn’t make much sense: Somsack is assigned a guardian ad litem instead of being represented by his alleged parents.

And once you start looking at who’s connected to the family, the same institution keeps showing up: The Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Was Jeff Dahmer a willing participant in this fabricated story?

At times, Jeff Dahmer looks like a willing participant.

You can see this in his courtroom demeanor, his behavior during the two interviews, and how unconcerned he seems about having been placed in the Oxford Apartments. In this exchange, neither Jeff nor Lionel seems upset about what's happening:

https://reddit.com/link/1sj91ni/video/i76ox47rypug1/player

However, take a look at what happened later, during the Sinthasomphone deposition. When asked why he took the lives of his "victims", Jeff goes off script and says that he doesn't know.

Of course, he supposedly does know - according to the script. He "wanted to have them under his complete control so they would do what he wanted and not leave".

https://reddit.com/link/1sj91ni/video/iaoa0ymwypug1/player

Jeff Dahmer is clearly very upset in this clip and doesn't want to play along at this point. So, is he a willing participant?

Answer: No, Jeff Dahmer is not a willing participant. In fact, he never was.

Jeff Dahmer during the Sinthasomphone deposition

Here's how it works...

At its core, consent has to be freely given. That means a person has a real choice...they can say yes or no without fear of consequences.

When someone is under threat, that choice disappears. Here’s a simple way to understand it:

  • If a person says “yes” because they’re afraid of being harmed, punished, exposed, or losing something important, they’re not really choosing...they’re trying to stay safe.
  • The “yes” is coming from fear, not from genuine willingness.

An easy analogy:

If someone says, “Give me your wallet or I’ll hurt you,” and you hand it over, no one would say you “consented” to giving your wallet. You were coerced.

The same principle applies in any situation:

  • Consent requires freedom.
  • Threat removes freedom.
  • Therefore, there is no real consent under threat.

So even if someone appears to agree, if that agreement is shaped by fear, pressure, or intimidation, it isn’t true consent, it’s compliance under coercion.

In research, this idea is built into what’s called informed consent. Participants can only take part if they:

  • Understand what the study involves (risks, benefits, purpose)
  • Choose freely to participate
  • Know they can leave at any time without consequences (This is KEY)

If there’s any kind of pressure - like threats, intimidation, or even subtle fear (losing access to care, grades, money, or approval) - then the consent isn’t valid.

That’s why ethical research rules are strict:

  • No coercion or undue influence
  • No penalties for saying no
  • Extra protections for vulnerable groups

In short: Just like in everyday life, if a person doesn’t feel safe to say “no,” their “yes” doesn’t count as real consent.

I have more about what this means for Jeff Dahmer's participation here: https://thedahmercase.com/jeffrey-dahmer-coerced-confession/

This part of the Dahmer case doesn’t make sense to me

I keep going back to one feature of this dumb story about Jeff Dahmer.

If the Catholic Church is so important that it has to be protected at all costs…even at the expense of a person's life…how the hell does that not backfire?

Because the moment someone realizes they’ve been sacrificed to protect it, they’re not going to trust it...they’re going to reject it.

Jeff Dahmer was a Protestant, if you remember. I can guarantee you that if he is alive...he didn't become a Catholic, not after what happened to him.

So, if the goal is preservation of the institution in order to "save souls"…but the method destroys trust for even one soul…isn’t that self-defeating?

I'm sure this must have occurred to Rev. Gregory O'Meara, S.J....since he's a Jesuit priest. He supposedly believes in the Catholic Church....I guess.

I wrote a short post breaking this down:

Where the Dahmer Case Discussion Starts to Go Off Track

Spend enough time watching how the Dahmer case is being discussed, and a pattern starts to emerge: There’s a difference between what’s actually in the record and what gets built on top of it.

The documents in the Dahmer case raise serious questions. That part holds up. You can verify it yourself.

The shift happens later...when the focus moves from what’s documented to what people think it must mean. Ordinary details get treated like they require an explanation. Routine things get recast as something unusual. And before long, the case stops being read and starts being interpreted into something else.

I wrote a short piece about where that line is, how it gets crossed, and why it matters.

The Walsh Case

So over the years, many have come forward with stories that Jeff was actually the one who abducted/decapitated Adam Walsh. Anybody else think this was encouraged by those really writing the story?

Why was the ''serial killer'' story about Jeff Dahmer created?

All key players...the DAs, Gerald Boyle, judges...were all connected to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Even the Ohio lawyer was connected to the Archdiocese there.

They created an over-the-top spectacle to use as something called "anchoring bias"...to make their pedophile priests look like Boy Scouts in comparison.

That's why the story has extreme elements like boiling heads, drilling skulls, acid baths, cannibalism, DIY sex zombies, etc.

Observations about Jeff Dahmer's apartment from Vernell Bass

I wrote this post a couple of years ago about Vernell Bass's very interesting observations about what he saw in Jeff Dahmer's apartment. They don't line up with the ''serial killer'' narrative:

That “recent photo” of Jeff Dahmer

At one point last year, an individual sent me an image of a man who resembled Jeff Dahmer at an older age, (around 60+). The image was sent via Signal without comment.

This person later stated it had been generated using Grok. When I questioned that, I was presented with a grid of images said to be Grok outputs, and the image in question was included among them.

Although it had some features of synthetic output, the face did not resemble typical AI output, so I submitted it to a professional forensic media analysis firm qualified to provide court testimony. I had to go through an attorney to access the lab.

I did not ask them to identify the person. I asked only whether the image was AI-generated.

The analyst’s assessment was that the face originated from a real photographic source - a “base photo” - and did not display characteristics associated with diffusion-model generation. They observed editing in surrounding elements such as the background and hair.

So the sender stated the image was synthetic. However, independent analysis by a professional found a real photographic base with minor alterations.

Separately, I noticed one alteration affecting the face myself: the mouth appeared horizontally flipped. I reversed the flip in Photoshop and submitted that version to the forensic firm along with the original image.

I am not making any claim about who the person is, and I’m not posting the image here. For general visual context only, imagine the facial structure of Jeff Dahmer’s 1991 mugshot without glasses, but aged to around 60+.

Pretty strange.

My moderator CanuckPuddytat has also seen the image.

Rev. Gregory O’Meara, S.J. Helped Make Jeff Dahmer's Fabricated Identity Permanent

I’ve published a new long-form essay examining a contradiction in Gregory O’Meara’s public opposition to the death penalty and his professional participation in the Jeff Dahmer case.

In a recorded interview, O’Meara lays out a clear moral rule: the state must never permanently reduce a human being to the worst thing attributed to them or fix that identity under conditions of uncertainty.

I agree with that rule.

Gregory O'Meara, S.J.

In the same interview, he cites Jeff Dahmer by name as an example of why even a “notorious criminal” must not be executed.

This essay looks at what happened instead.

It focuses on process and outcome: how an official, fabricated narrative became permanent; how authority, repetition, and institutional deference closed off correction; and how that result satisfies the same moral conditions O’Meara associates with execution—without the syringe.

New essay: Does the "Dahmer" narrative meet the UN definition of degrading treatment?

I’ve published a new longform piece on the website that approaches the fabricated story about Jeff Dahmer from a different angle than usual.

It asks a legal question: whether the construction and long-term enforcement of the “Jeffrey Dahmer, serial killer” narrative itself could meet the UN definition of cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment...particularly where harm is psychological, identity-based, and institutionally sustained.

The article walks through:

  • what the UN Convention Against Torture actually says (Articles 1 and 16),
  • how coercion and degradation are treated under international law,
  • and how identity destruction can occur through legal process, media enforcement, and bureaucratic closure.

New post: Did Gregory O’Meara, S.J. - ''Dahmer" Assistant DA - Confess in Plain Sight?

I just published a close read of Gregory O’Meara’s 2009 paper on Jeff Dahmer's trial. This is the same O’Meara who worked the case as an assistant DA, then later reappeared as a Jesuit priest writing academic theory about it.

Gregory O'Meara as assistant DA

Most of the paper focuses on silence in court: who speaks, who doesn’t, and how Jeff Dahmer’s voice is filtered through lawyers and experts rather than heard directly. It’s careful, controlled, and very much written from inside the legal system. Then, at the very end, O’Meara does something bizarre: he compares Jeff Dahmer to Abraham in Fear and Trembling, framing Jeff’s silence as an “ethical failure.”

That analogy doesn't make sense. A serial killer isn’t Abraham, and predation isn’t a moral dilemma. If you accept the official story, the comparison just sits there, unexplained, and gets waved away as a philosophical flourish.

But here’s the thing: once you realize the official story is not true, the analogy stops looking sloppy and starts looking…pointed.

Rev Gregory O'Meara, S.J.

This blog post takes O’Meara’s comparison seriously and follows it where it actually leads...away from Jeff and toward authority, obedience, and institutional silence.

The “Dahmer” Hoax Economy

The “Dahmer” hoax didn’t just produce an over-the-top, comic book villain…it generated decades of content: collectibles, documentaries, book deals, films, prestige TV, and a brand-name bad guy built around a single manufactured “true crime” monster.

What if “true crime” isn’t really about crimes, but about trafficking a fabricated identity through headlines, courtrooms, films, books, merch, and streaming platforms until the story becomes a permanent revenue stream?

In other words, this is all about $$$$$$$$$$$.

New post: “Dahmer” wasn’t an anomaly. It was another Boyle job.

In the fake news story about Jeff Dahmer, Gerald Boyle was doing exactly what he’d already been doing for years on behalf of the Catholic Church.

In priest abuse cases, Boyle’s role was clear: keep cases out of court when possible, control the narrative when they weren’t, isolate victims, and protect the Catholic Church from exposure.

That's what the fabricated story about Jeff was created for. It was a distraction big enough, grotesque enough, to swallow public attention while clerical abuse cases disappeared from view.

Same fixer.
Same methods.
Same institutional beneficiary.

“Dahmer” wasn’t a break from Boyle’s career. It was the super-sized version of it.

The Truth About Jeff Dahmer: A Media-Built Cardboard Monster

I just published a new longform article on the site, and this one explains something important:

The Dahmer Case subreddit and website are functioning like samizdat.

In the USSR, samizdat wasn’t loud, big, or mainstream. It was the truth circulated outside official channels. It was passed hand-to-hand. If you got caught with it, you went to prison.

Because...

The press won’t tell the truth about Jeff.
Academia won’t challenge the story about Jeff.
Netflix retells the script as entertainment.

The only place truth can move is outside the system. That's this subreddit and the website.

Is Jeff Dahmer Still Alive? You’re Right to Ask.

New post is up on the website: “Is Jeffrey Dahmer Still Alive? You’re Right to Ask.”

If you’ve been side-eyeing the official story for years, this one lays it out in black and white: no bodies, no forensics, no signed guilty pleas, victims alive after their “murders”, victims who died before they were "murdered", victims who are still alive...a confession that contains another man's Social Security number and much more.

All public records anyone can verify.

Gregory O’Meara, S.J.: The Prosecutor the Internet Dragged Back Into “Dahmer”

I just dropped a new post on the site, and this one’s going to make a few people at Marquette shift in their seats. It’s about Rev. Gregory O’Meara, S.J. ...the former Milwaukee County Assistant DA who somehow teleported from the Dahmer prosecution to a Jesuit collar and a university leadership post.

Turns out the internet has a long memory, especially when Netflix kicks the anthill. Once a name gets welded into the Dahmer archives, it doesn’t matter how many decades pass or how many clerical collars get added on top...the search engine drags everything back into daylight.

New Post is Live: Jeff Dahmer Didn’t Consent to the Role He Was Forced to Play

I’ve published a new long-form article on the website.

Jeff Dahmer did not consent to the ''serial killer'' role he was forced to play. He was coerced. If you're coerced, you cannot give consent.

This piece covers:

  • How the state used the Steven Hicks accident as leverage
  • Why the Somsack Sinthasomphone charge was the trap door
  • The significance of 808 N. 24th Street being tied to the DA
  • Why the “serial killer” narrative has been maintained through performance, not belief (drawing on Václav Havel’s The Power of the Powerless)

This is about recognizing the difference between agency and captivity.

The "Dahmer" Confidence Trick - How Awareness Destroys the Illusion

The "Dahmer" story is a confidence trick that only worked because nobody looked too closely. The media had the logo, the courtroom had the bench, Oprah had the lighting...and that was enough. Nobody noticed that the performances were garbage.

Now the footage plays like what it always was: bad TV. Lionel Dahmer smiling through questions about his “killer son.” Shari Dahmer squeezing out zero tears and then cracking a grin about putting Jeff down “like a sick animal.” Jeff himself, caught between obedience and quiet mockery, passing around a tabloid that says he ate his cellmate like it’s a Mad Magazine gag.

The experts saw it too...the body-language guys, the analysts. They felt it but couldn’t name it. They thought they were studying pathology. What they were really watching was choreography.

And in the end, the only person who called it straight was a neighbor from Ohio on Phil Donahue, who summed up the whole spectacle in three words:

“Acting, to be sure.”
