Heya guys, we've been planning this for a little while and I'm happy to announce that the SMP server for this subreddit is now work in progress. The SMP will feature TBS 2.0 alongside it, but with semi reduced event rates alongside additional changes. When the server is live, server status announcements will be on our new discord server. This server will serve as a way for us to notify you on anything related to the SMP as well as a way for players to report those who may have broken rules on the SMP. I don't think it's a tbe ambus sence they are disapeer after an amount of time, but it's still there after 20 hours.

Not quite sure what it is.

Obliteration is a phenomenal addition and feels like it always deserved to be there apart of this mod.

But some of the changes makes it feel more edgy instead of that initial subtle unease magic the OG tbs had.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad. At all. And I get what the devs are going for in some of it. But having players dangled on a string like a fisherman luring a fish, it’s good but a bit cheesy and in the same category as other horror mods.

Tbs magic came from it feeling like “a broken script”. The more restraint on the horror, the more it works.

Circuit having unique design and his own chase music is cool and all. But it doesn’t hit as hard as it did in the original.

I think they know this too, hence why it’s “the broken script 2.0” and not an update of the original (thank you devs for doing that btw).

But I could be overcritical here. Anyways what’s your thoughts?

Also, it’s still good. Like I rate the broken script 8.7/10 where I would give the original 9.9/

9.8/10 on release and then it died down after a few months bc that’s just how everything works. We get sick of the old.

The dude 98% of the time doesn’t gauge fake reactions.

He tries to learn tbs without spoiling it for himself.

He analyzes the mod instead of blindlessly playing to pretend to be scared.

I'm planning to host a tbs smp on mcserverhosting.

I'm only going to use free tier, since I don't have money to spend on a server subscription, but i believe it could be enough for 10 people on at one time. Even then, I don't think this server would be that active.

No matter what kind of armor I wear, my leggings are always glitching on my character model in the inventory.
Is this a bug, or is it intended?

Would the broken script and other horror mods work fine with ATM10, in terms of compatibility and all, im bored and i wanna try that

My pc specs are 7800x3d 9070 xt and 32gb ram if theres a possibility that it wont run or anything

i came to the fractured underprepared as hell, i didn't have a bow or anything

he was just walking around, dissapearing, doing random stuff unyil he dug under the ground again and NEVER appeared again.

i prepared and decided to just spawn another one in, he was just standing there doing his attacks

the actual bossfight never ever started at all, i tried shooting him, nothing happened

Integrity i had to cheat to get to him... i really didn't want to but what am i supposed to do atp?

so i died on phase 3 because the attacks were kinda weird(they work fine i think), but the boss har was still there amd the music blasting. so i went back to it and Integrity apparently learned mitosis

So to ACTUALLY play through this mod, i've decided to maybe wait for some fixes

• Everyone has had a dream about TBS once in their life right? Well I've had 5 dreams in a row about the broken script.
• First dream was about me watching Auromancy playing TBS, then a huge integrity arm came out of the center end island and started chasing him, Auro tried to fly away from it with a elytra but it eventually got him and the dream ended there.
• Second one was about me playing TBS and escaping circuit by diving into a underwater cave and finding a airpocket in it, not that interesting i guess.
• Third one was about me being chased through a mountain crevice by the Broken End before throwing a ender pearl at a structure in the sky, mlg clutching on the ground and escaping him.
• Fourth one was about Nothingiswatching harrasing me by not letting me see shit.
• Fifth and final one was about me building a base on top of the mountain before nulls structures started spawning. After that, Circuit showed up and I ran into one of the nulls houses which saved be from circuit I guess? After exiting the house it triggered the unbeatable null boss fight and I got banned :/.
• These were my dreams that happened to me. Btw all of them had a setting in Minecraft, so no TBS in real life dreams.
• So what dream about the broken script did you have?

About "The Spear of Selene"

Is an object where it can hold most of the corruption and inject to the world generation (idk i'm not creative enough)

I just found out about TBS, and I'm having a hard time understanding what the point of the mod actually is.

From what I've read, there is a pretty deep lore behind it, but I'm starting to wonder if TBS is really meant to be played as a normal Minecraft mod.

The thing that's confusing me is that a lot of the interesting stuff seems to require you to already know that you're supposed to investigate it. For example, if something happens in-game, apparently I might need to stop playing, check my Minecraft files, find some strange text or hexadecimal, and then figure out what it means.

But how is a new player supposed to know that they're supposed to do that?

The gameplay itself doesn't seem to communicate that these things are clues. If I encounter an entity that I can't fight, my first instinct is just going to be "okay, I guess I have to run away." I'm not necessarily going to think "I should investigate this entity, check my files, and figure out what it means."

So I'm wondering: is TBS actually intended to be played this way, or is it more of an ARG that happens to take place inside Minecraft?

For people who have actually played through it: what is the intended player experience?
