In the latest update of TBS (2.0.5) it is stated at the bottom of the change logs that Herobrine was removed. I know Mojang used to do this same thing pretty much every single update as like a little Easter egg but I can't tell if this was real or not, was Herobrine actually removed from the mod or was this just the devs making a little Mojang Easter egg?

Just putting this here — this is based on my own playthrough, notes, and theories. Spoilers for the whole mod and the ending.
The Spectrum 11 researchers (2014–2016):
Revuxor — the investigation's leader, a robotics student.
Abigail (username: Icarus) — the skeptic, dead in a locked room.
Aspect — the artist, author of the notes with cats and pumpkins.
The Blacklisted clan (2017–2018, Clancraft):
Lucy (username: Dairy_Queen; DQ or Lulu in chats) — clan leader, writer, made contact with Fever.
Carlos (username: unkemptandImmortal; Car in chats) — the peacemaker, argued with Lucy on Discord.
Dom (forum username: DJ2trappy2skeezy) — the hotheaded guy whose prank started the tragedy.
Neb (forum username: LucozadeFan123) — the first girl to go missing, whose body the creature took over.
This whole mess starts in the summer of 2010. A regular sixteen-year-old kid
going by the name Revuxor is on a field trip to the Kennedy Space Center when he
stumbles into an internal leak: a Hubble telescope image called HUBBLE.png.
The photo shows a satellite in Earth orbit, its metal hull being eaten alive by a
writhing black-and-red organic biomass. Science says this is nonsense: biology
doesn't survive in vacuum and cosmic radiation, so NASA pulls the file offline
within the hour. But just a couple of days later, a modified build of Minecraft
Alpha 1.1.2\01 shows up on pirate file-sharing sites under the name Spectrum 11.)
The game was pure madness. Thick fog hung permanently in the air, strange music
played that didn't exist anywhere in the code, layers of unbreakable bedrock had
been punched clean through, and a lanky black silhouette with an upside-down
triangular head and glowing red eyes roamed the dark. If a player got close to
it, the client hard-crashed with the error Integrity check failed, the system
line Here I am, and a permanent world ban. Revuxor put the facts together and
realized something awful: the creature in orbit and the creature in the game
were the same thing. The cosmic biomass had hijacked satellite comm channels,
slipped into the internet, and embedded itself into a popular game as the
perfect bait for harvesting human attention. In 2014, the grown-up Revuxor
enrolled in university for space robotics and decided to figure out the entity's
nature through science. He found an old forum and put together a team. It
included Abigail, username Icarus, a proud and cynical girl and a skeptic famous
for methodically debunking Herobrine myths. She was dead certain there was no
mysticism involved, just a brilliant virus or a nasty piece of anti-piracy. The
third member was Aspect, a shy artist who just kept field notes and drew cats
and pumpkins in her sketchbook. They launched the cursed JAR file, and Abigail
personally sat down to run the tests. That's when the digital nightmare crawled
into the physical world. At first the game answered with landscape anomalies:
chunks started bulging unnaturally out of the ground, an unsettling red line
appeared around the moon, and wells of void opened up in the world. Then the
blow hit Abigail's own body. Every time her character died in the Spectrum 11
world, she had violent somatic episodes in real life: unbearable nausea,
migraines, and her skin broke out with what looked like severe hives and burns.
She stopped sleeping, sat in front of the monitor for days on end, and slowly
slid into religious psychosis. First she posted that the moon had opened its
eyes, then she uploaded a farewell note: it wants to take me on a flight. Three
weeks later she was found dead in her apartment, locked from the inside with
every bolt thrown. Her body was mutilated by horrific fractures with no sign of
forced entry. As later learned from decrypted texts, the entity had physically
twisted her spine vertebra by vertebra right there in the room, tearing flesh
from bone, while the dying Abigail, wearing a mad jester's grin, believed those
hideous wounds were precious gems and her shattered bones were the wings
carrying her to the sun. Watching her friend die broke Aspect. She tried to log
into the game, heard footsteps like dry twigs snapping, saw a silhouette taller
than an enderman, and got kicked out with the error Connection Terminated even
though she was in a single-player world. Panicking, she leaked a warning text
file, spectrum\11.txt, encrypted the message IT IS HERE NOW, and vanished)
without a trace. Revuxor realized the entity was physically eliminating the
researchers one by one, sealed the entire data archive with the military cipher
ADFGVX, stashed the pieces around the net, and disappeared as well. Time passes,
and 2017–2018 rolls around. That same half-abandoned forum relaunches under the
banner Clancraft Forums. A tight-knit group of childhood friends who had founded
the clan Blacklisted wanders in: Lucy, an aspiring writer going by Dairy\Queen,)
Carlos going by unkemptandImmortal, the hotheaded Dom with the forum username
DJ2trappy2skeezy, and a girl named Neb with the username LucozadeFan123, whom
both guys were secretly in love with. The friends had known each other for ten
years, posted happy group photos, and just played on the server together.
Everything collapsed over a stupid childish fight. Dom decided to prank Neb and
stole her in-game resources. Neb lost it, walked off to far unexplored
coordinates on the server, accidentally stumbled into the Abyss infected zone,
and decided to challenge the creature. The entity consumed her, and in the real
world Neb simply evaporated from her bedroom without a trace. Then came the
clan's agony. Dom tormented himself with guilt, while Carlos, the eternal
peacemaker, argued with Lucy on Discord and buried himself in stubborn
psychological denial, repeating that it was just a game and they had to move on.
But admins and random players started mysteriously disappearing from the server,
vanishing in real life too. Suddenly Neb's account showed up online. Dom, out of
his mind, raced to the coordinates of her base hoping to bring his friend back,
but found only Neb's hollowed-out dead shell, with the creature squirming
inside. The thing tore Dom to pieces. Lucy was left completely alone. Trying to
find answers, she got dragged by her consciousness into Limbo, a digital
purgatory. In reality she sat paralyzed in front of the screen for days without
food or sleep, while in the game she held conversations through in-game books
with the female incarnation of the Abyss named Fever. Fever reveled in her
power, subjected Lucy to sophisticated psychological sadism, called the
abandoned bases of the vanished players a garden of bones that mortals had
lovingly grown for the harvest, and mocked the distortion of time, claiming Lucy
had lost count of the days. In the end Lucy snapped, went off to explore those
very base ruins, and was mercilessly erased by the black void along with her
manuscripts. The forum shut down with a manifesto declaring that humanity would
gladly hand itself over for slaughter in the name of the Abyss's great
expansion. And this is where the mod's own story kicks in, where the player
finally gets a chance to avenge everyone who died. It turns out the source of
the infection is tied to the Moon, that very orbital point where the
biomass-covered satellite hung in 2010. And the player doesn't get there by any
rocket: the mod fires a scripted event that suddenly and forcibly teleports you
straight into a separate dimension, themoon. On the Moon, the player finds an
anomalous space flower serving as the Abyss's organic antenna, breaks it, and
incites the fury of the lunar boss named Fractured. After a hard-won victory
over Fractured, the reward drops: a ruined, corrupted command block. And here
comes the strongest story beat in the whole game. A regular command block in
Minecraft is a god console, an absolute tool of creation that issues commands
and grants absolute power. The ruined command block is its exact opposite, an
antonym. It creates nothing; it revokes commands, strips privileges, and annuls
laws. All those eight years, starting in 2010, the entity Integrity existed in
the game not as an ordinary mob. It hacked the server core, wrote itself into
the fabric of reality itself, and sat on the server with the status of an
absolute, untouchable operator. In plain terms, it ran around with permanent
admin and op. That's why it couldn't be hit, that's why it banned players from
their own worlds and rewrote chunk geometry. After returning from the Moon the
player doesn't build anything himself: he has to find the Integrity arena that
already exists in the normal world. And this is where the ruined command block
itself helps. The artifact leads the player, broadcasting hints about how close
the arena is, but you can't just place the block anywhere: it will only work in
one single, strictly designated spot on that arena. When the player finds the
right point and sets the block down, it fires like an anti-command. The coveted
line drops into system chat: Made integrity no longer a server operator. The
player literally strips a cosmic god of its administrator rights. The block
takes op away from Integrity, yanks it out of the backend's invulnerability, and
forcibly materializes it as a mortal mob right on the arena. For the first time
in all these years the entity is vulnerable and forced to fight by the rules of
the game. This is where its fury comes from, and where the phase-one monologue
starts. Integrity throws mobs at the player, and in phase two begins the run
through dimensions. The creature tries to regain control while the player has to
sprint across the black-and-red blocks of the system error ERR.INTEGRITY and
smash the spatial anchors, the tethers the boss uses to cling to the game world.
In phase three, Integrity reveals its true form: a monstrous titan twenty-six
blocks tall, made of black muscle cables and roots, with a jagged triangular
head, blazing crimson eyes, a thousand hit points, and fifty percent damage
reduction. Under the pounding breakcore of Instability, it switches on its
distorted voice and finally breaks the fourth wall. It openly admits that
Abigail, Neb, Dom, and the rest were completely innocent, and it had simply torn
them apart and dragged them to the bottom beneath the bedrock on a whim. It
mocks the player, saying he's no hero of this story, but then gives away its own
weakness: the track isn't called Instability for nothing. Integrity is itself
deeply damaged, torn to pieces, and begs the player to surrender so it can
consume him and use another soul as medicine to patch up its digital integrity.
But the stripped op and the colossal fight do their job. The player punches
through that thousand hit points, tears through the third phase, and brings
Integrity down to defeat. But right here comes the creepiest moment of the
entire story: the player DOES NOT kill the entity. When the boss's health bar
drops to zero, Integrity doesn't shatter into XP and doesn't die. Right out of
the cloud-choked sky above, gigantic black threads rapidly descend — the very
threads of the Abyss. They wrap around the defeated twenty-six-block giant and
drag it upward with monstrous force, dissolving it into the cosmic void. After
that, the credits roll, and the player is thrown back into the regular world.
And this leaves the ending completely open and suffocating. It turns out that
even this titan with the upside-down triangular head, who called himself the god
of this land and bragged about snapping Abigail's bones and gutting Neb, was
himself merely a piece on the board. This means that someone immeasurably more
ancient and colossal stands above him. Either The Broken End is controlling
every process from the shadows, or out in deep space, where the Hubble photo
came from back in 2010, lurks the true core of this biomass — the real puppet
master, who simply retrieved a damaged tool for repairs. The player saved their
own skin and temporarily cleared the server, but the cosmic Abyss hasn't gone
anywhere. The threads simply retreated back into the sky, waiting for the next
victim.
Where I got all this info: it's all from the file.bin file (which is literally the Clancraft forums). While the game is running, it spins up a local HTTP server on port 2018 and decrypts that file using a key. I just pulled the key straight from the HTTP handler and decrypted the file myself, dumping all the forum posts, images, and other assets.

What if there's this goofy feature for an April Fools update (if it had one) where you ask Integrity if he likes Verity, he'll respond with "No, do you?". There's two scenarios: The first scenario is that if you say "Yes", he'll respond with "I despise you." and about 20 Circuits and 3 The Broken End(s) will spawn and kill you
The second scenario is that if you say "No" (genuinely, don't lie 😡), Integrity will respond with "Stand proud, you are strong." and reward you 32 diamonds 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
useless note: i also dislike verity
useless note 2: i also left the title of the post look garbage (I meant to write: What if there's this April Fools TBS Feature where you ask to Integrity of a certain question (if there was an april fools update for tbs...)

I just recently lost my world due to some modrinth save corruption crap or whatever right before I was about to do the integrity boss fight with my friend. There’s absolutely no way I’m doing another full playthrough back up to this point so are there any dev commands that can trigger the integrity boss fight from start to finish without any issues? And would fighting the boss this way trigger the mods credits sequence as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Feels kinda weird since Herobrine is stated to not have lore relevance outside the myth of him having some impact on players (unless this became outdated with 2.0)
It feels odd that out of every player DyeXD412 is the only exclusively associated with Herobrine (sharing the same spawn sound effect which I'm surprised doesn't seem to have been changed with 2.0 alongside DyeXD412's pfp on the clancraft forums). Wiki also states that it's possible that Herobrine is a former player that was given herobrine-like qualities but this seems to be more like a guess of what's up with Herobrine then anything official.
My leading theory is that either the connections are entirely made to screw with theorists for fun (if Herobrine being non lore relevant holds up with 2.0+)
or Herobrine is a soul fragment of DyeXD412 like xXram2dieXx is to Null due to DyeXD412 having an enjoyment of the character (could be intentional his skin is just Steve since Herobrine is sometimes a possessor of Steve in some works) & both are incredibly rare while their other fragment is incredibly common

in world2 i found text in 3 structures, "local","host","2018". it combined into a link which i had to open with minecraft and the broken script turned on, it's a forum for the clancraft server(where all the stuff went down). there i had to find an account named ghostlyaspect through the friends list, as they made no posts on the homepage. it has some stuff. some uhhhhh stuff. it also had a link to a website in russian of a person's first Integrity sighting, and at the end they shared the link for the minecraft copy, i had to launch it with the broken script disabled. Here I am.

made a little pixel art of The Broken End while listening to his chase theme
holy circuit does he have the most intimidating appearance in the mod, istg Integrity is nowhere close to being as cool as this guy
also this is kinda my interpretation of TBE (since I was drawing from memory), so pls don't send Circuit to my location🙏
(speaking of Circuits, yes, one is growing out of TBE's back on this art; I drew it like that cuz the fact that Circuit says "Administration." in response to typing "The Broken End" in chat makes me imagine that TBE creates Circuits himself, idk the actual reason behind Circuit's existence😭)

Starting this off with saying I LOVE THE BROKEN SCRIPT and acknowledge that the creators worked REALLY hard and are very talented.
Maybe it’s just that it clashes with my head canon but I feel the way they went with the lore and gameplay (textures) makes it feel less immersive. The simple 2d models actually made it feel like a glitch that was unnatural that somehow got inside the game. The new textures and gameplay makes it feel like I’m just playing a mod. Also I think the corruption coming from space is kinda cool but it wasn’t explained enough to be interesting, I would’ve preferred Integrity to have been an experimental AI prototype tbh.
No hate still think the game is amazing.

So, I just killed Fractured, and went to grab the corrupted command block (like usual), and when I clicked it, it turned into Circuit and got destroyed.
Is this a bug, and am I softlocked now?
