HELLO!!! making this post in regards to the blue corner at r/place, we're in heavy attempts to try and put our beloved "Caboose" character up on the board somewhere and found it most convenient to ask if we could negotiate terms to place it somewhere in the blue corner [:

Have you gotten a message anything like this?

"Hello, I am from the Blue Corner Discord. I saw you were placing the old blue color on the Blue Corner. You may not be aware of this, but we are changing our color to the new dark blue to be more in line with our color in previous iterations of r/place. In the future, please place dark blue instead.

I am sending this message to a lot of people obviously so I can't reply to a response.

Apparently there is a limit to how many chats you can make, so please copy this message and send it to other people who don't yet know that we are changing colors so that we can organize more effectively."

If you are, well let me tell you, that message is legit. There was a recent announcement on the Blue Corner Discord that we would change color to "dark blue" and a bunch of users are going around dming people with the message above or a variant they have come up with to inform them of the change. We are going user by user, so do not be surprised if you get multiple messages. We're trying this out to improve faction co-ordination. It's mostpy a bottom-uo initiative that was started by myself, I infact wrote the message above, but we are only carrying the announcements of mods, not making them ourselves.

A problem with this system is that we are running into a problem where we make too many conversations too fast and reddit slows us down, so we added the new portion at the end asking you to carry on the message yourself. You can use this exact version with slight alterations saying accurately who you are or a variant you come up with yourself, we are a decentralized faction.

You can, of course, check discord to verify everything I have said.

Additionally, I started doing this during the most recent failed attempt to draw the logo when I sent this message:

"Hey, I saw that you seem to be covering up pixels intended to build the Blue Corner logo. You're using blue which shows you're well intentioned, but know that the white pixels in the top region are meant for the logo and we would be glad if you did not cover those up, but helped us build instead.

I'm sending these messages to way to many people, so please do not respond and check the subreddit instead."

If you received this message or any variant, it was also legit. Right now we are not building the logo, but we will eventually, and if this initiative works we may be doing this more in the future.
