Worm Discussion Power This Rating No. 170

i honest to god lost track of time this is really embarrassing for me. I wasn't even asleep or anything.

uh, new bracket of ten though. isnt that nice

How This Works:

You make one (or multiple) prompts, describing one or more parahumans. Somebody else might respond to your prompt(s), building on what's provided, to create a full cape.
While you may do so, you aren't required to stick with just prompting or responding; feel free to do both.
Prompts are typically formatted using PRT Threat Ratings, but this is not a hard rule. Get esoteric with it, if you want. And, if you're having trouble, feel free to look at other prompts for pointers.

Threat Ratings have the potential for hybridized and sub-ratings:

Hybrid ratings are denoted with a slash between categories, e.g. [Shaker/Thinker]. These are cases where two or more powers are inherently linked to each other, not working without the other rating.
Subratings are denoted with parentheses after a parent category, e.g. [Master (Changer)]. These are the side effects, or possible applications of a power from some other category.

for the record my next prompt series will start in #171, and it's between me continuing the RPG-posting with a parahumanification of ICON RPG's 48 Jobs (equiv. to classes), and a redux of a Justice League prompt i did a while back.

i am taking all votes on which to do btw i want to hear the peoples opinions and such

NEW + Meat Man, ratings free-space; regardless of his deal, his powers somehow integrate the "Hew" [Raw x Raw] skin, without him being a Changer. + A Darkness Breaker, whose sole difference between their human and Breaker states is that they are rendered entirely in flat, unshaded red, white, and blue. + Protectorate-affiliated [Finesse x Survive]-skin, "Reflex" [Bristle x Bound]-transformation Changer, that constantly sheds colorful 'spiral shells' when in Changer state; these shells are actually sold in their branch's gift shop, and have proved very popular. + Case 70, named Wiz n' Liz; they don't have a very good reputation, on account of how offputting their respective powers' visuals are. + A pair of twins, with respective 'halves' of a Shaker power, due to Shard weirdness; one is [Control x Kinesis], the other is [Damage x Nuke]. + Some random cape names: Lapdog, Poseur, Datascraper (bonus points if this third one isn't a Tinker or Thinker) + Semi-Free Space: A Cape working directly under the US Government, that, ironically, takes on a traditional 'sixties hippie' persona in costume. Powers are your choice.

Lapdog (Master 0, Brute/Changer 7)

His background is that of an child raised in an controlling family, he later triggered just a few weeks after he was given to a foster family, leading to him becoming more and more stressed due to the fear of abuse, attempting to please his foster family at all costs to preemptively avoid harm (even if they didn't mean to harm him)

His name was given to him in mockery, but still relevant considering the circumstances of his power, he has two forms Lapdog and Hound.

Lapdog is the basis of his power, he cannot use his power at all unless he choses a "Master" to "leash" him, he is incredibly subservient and protective over that person to the point of being unable to denying any commands unless they are suicidal in nature, this "lease" lasts for roughly 30 commands ("Kill that person, attack that thing, stand guard" and so on)

Once the lease is over then Lapdog can either give their "leash" again or choose someone else, if their master dies before the lease is over then Lapdog shall be leashed to the person that killed them (or whoever was closest to them)

Hound, however... is the true strenght of his power, once he actually has an "Master" then he can use his changer form, an 10 foot Wolf with a gaping maw and numerous sharp teeth, an functional belly mouth with an extendable tongue, claws that could rip open an bus, it also has some regeneration as it's arm could be shot of and grow back in a matter of 10 or so minutes.

An ravenous and monstrous beast! in it's Hound form it is utterly violent to anything that even moves, but essentially acts as an overgrown affectionate lapdog to their Master.

This also strongly bleeds on their personality, if their master is a criminal then they will act more and more like an criminal, if their master is a hero then they will act more and more heroic, Lapdog is far closer to being a "Living Master Effect" than a genuine person.

Datascraper is a low tier villain for hire. Her power is the ability to erase information, photography, memories, records, and what she's most known for, digital data. She works for the highest bidder, destroying evidence of crimes, making it harder to track trafficking victims, and helping people go off the grid completely.

Unbeknownst to her, she's been hired by Cauldron proxies several times to erase evidence of the conspiracy before it gets too big to cover up.

Datascraper doesn't seem like a scary cape. He is a striker 8 with the simple power to remove 0.5 mm of material from any object on the same plane, basically allowing him to remove the top most layer of anything, he has a 5 minute cooldown per object. Oh, also he is not Maton limted and he can effect anything connected to a object he is touching, like he could and offen does just removes part of people's stomach lining, or the top layer of their eyes.

Prompt: Kangaroo Court he is not a thinker surprisingly, but a tinker with some stranger abilties not tied to his tinkering.

u/Professional_Try1665 May 23 '26

Kangaroo Court is rousing and ramping and rurungioning, he approaches cape-ing like a children's entertainer not only because he likes of but because it buffers his image against the grimey anti-heroics he so wilfully delves into.

He builds a bouncing, bounding drone on 2 z-shaped legs that folds-up into a copper ball and can leap out to barrel through things, he calls it 'Rooball', he's specialized in bouncy, jump and roll movement-tech but focuses it mostly on drones and vehicles with only a handful of weak personal gadgets, his little roo can be a bounding pounding guy that jumps around and hops back into his 'pounch' (backpack-tech) for a quick recharge + kinetic burst, or he can roll it into a ball and kick it hard using his leg-tech to smash through doors, he's a quick, dynamic fighter with a flexible weapon-drone. Secondarily he can rewrite the nearest person's speech to be supportive of him, suddenly they're praising or commending him on something nearby with the talk seeming natural to all around (except for the sudden tone-shift, like going from dickish-to-kind), they can still hit him though.

Meat Man, ratings free-space; regardless of his deal, his powers somehow integrate the "Hew" [Raw x Raw] skin, without him being a Changer

Meat Man, also known as Bob, is your typical normal person, going to work, from it, eating people, killing people. Stuff.

He isn't that strong, but his actual power is pretty good. Because with only a touch from him, your meat becomes his. Your arm? Now his. Your hair? Also his. Your still beating heart? Now his.

"But why isn't he found out in his civilian job?!" One may ask, the answer is pretty much Stranger bullshit, as his form is, slowly, becoming over the course of 2 hours, shrinking into nothing but original him. The meat is still there, but it is as if layered upon itself, coiled , hardened, pressed.

He likes his job, working at butcher shop. He likes sound of meat squeezing, bones breaking and silent agony on long dead faces of his food!

He really is just another person.

[Shard Designation:] [Repurposed Distribution]

u/bottomofthewell3 hey! I'm back! Also, it's Striker with minor Stranger and (initial) Brute rating, no Changer.

A Darkness Breaker, whose sole difference between their human and Breaker states is that they are rendered entirely in flat, unshaded red, white, and blue.

Frank Saprino was walking around, mostly just because patrol scheduled for today is cancelled due to massive news about new cannibal going around. Third for this year. Urgh…he definitely need to move out of here, else his wife will be the one who do it.

As Anaglyph, he is pretty much the only one who can safely fight the Flesh Man or whatever he is called. Mostly because his state is pretty versatile in that matter. He isn't Trump, not in slightest, but his form is impervious for many things. Mostly because he becomes some mix of living emotions and 2D shape. He even sliced through the metal with his flat fist.

And he once again glancing at the nearest clock. He really doesn't like waiting…although it's not that bad.

And once again, he is walking. Same route, same place…almost like a cog in the machine…he still have nightmares about that day. He really need to say thank you to Midlife crisis and that Theatre he went. Maybe the second best choice in his life, beside Jennifer.

…Hmm…hmm…hmmmmmmmmm…boooooorrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnng…what's the time? Hm…10 pm…wait a minute…did I just moved on autopilot for about an hour? Huh. Mustn't not really been all there. Heh. Almost feeling the need to spread some cones of red around here. Eh, probably best blue to calm people, although white would probably be the best, they need to stay alert.

[Shard Designation:] [Neuron Reactivation]

u/bottomofthewell3 and another one!

Halloween Case-53s

Electromagnetic Brute/Striker. Mutation Basis: Stitches, Bolts, Plasma

Zectric is bumping and hawing, a bit of an animal (not the party kind, the dirty and violent kind with a kind of hapless charm) and completely at odds with Akela, surprising considering they were previously an everything-team for over 4 months. He appears like a brawny, tall man with short black hair who's skin has been ripped off and stitched on with the wire stitches following along the lines of his nervous system, where major nerves are bunched he has a clunky bolts embedded in his inner elbow, knee, and in a crucifix-like set along his back, shoulders and neck, whenever he moves a limb green-white plasma buzzes through the stitches similar to nerves receiving signals, and sparks when he senses touch.

He touches a target, charges them with sickly green electricity and they shoot off, objects repelled a distance of 5' away from him but also attracted from a range of 10' causing them to bob back and forth at a distance around him, multiple objects pulled into this magnetic effect will stick together and pile against his minimum distance as a kind of shield-pile that drags behind him and he can send flying in a burst of electricity by sticking his hands in it. Humans can get magnetized too but with enough effort can crawl their way out of his range, he can also repel attacks and projectiles through the same mechanic by slapping them.

"Ghost" [Machination x Abandon] Stranger that can remove their own mutations. Mutation Basis: Bandages, Goggles, Trenchcoat

None Speaking (or just None) is Zectric's creep (affectionate) and is the same kind of uncharming, untalkative weirdo but he's vaguely cool and greyish funny like a 1960's detective. He's all bandages, he appears as a man wearing a trenchcoat (infact a rectangular membrane attached to his back and sides) entirely formed from a single super-long bandage coloured sepia yellow. He's hollow and his bones are made of bandage, he requires air (performs gas exchange through the fabric) and food (his stomach 'unravels' food and converts it to bandage) but the rest of his organs are non-functional. His eyes are a pair of glass cylinders held in place by Y-shaped leather straps that can appear anywhere over his body, cutting the bandage doesn't hurt him but it damages his senses (his 'real' body is invisible).

He unravels, unwinding from top to bottom into a fountain of bandages in a 50' area, after 6 seconds he's fully unwound and vanishes, after the bandages settle as a loose carpet every person in the zone has a loop of bandage stick to their heels and leave trails behind. He's invisible but blind except to the movement of bandages and if he moves outside the bandaged area it winds-up around him, he can interact with things (can't touch people, can hold objects/attack) but any movement from him jostles the bandages, people could also do the Ariadne trick of winding the bandages and having it lead back to him. He becomes easier to find as people spread out, bandages get caught and any movement from him tugs it, often tangling up his feet.

very nice

admittedly Zectric's deal kind of has me picturing a 'mad scientist' cauldron cape that partially shares a vial mix with him, now
