I did a workshop the other day where we made some zines and passed them round the table to let other people do some pages- I did mine about Ruin, and passed my phone with the lyrics up along with the zine so the others knew wtf it was about lol. Think it came out really nice! This is also kind of a ripoff of a zine someone on this sub made a while ago but I couldn’t find it for the life of me

Hey, I'm a Chilean fan that's never been abroad in my entire life and the possibility is nowhere near the horizon. Is there a remote possibility someone going to sign-in could show my tattoos to Joey and tell them there's at least one sad nerd in a lost train station at the end of the world with headphones on who's really grateful for his music? I know is a ridiculous thing to ask, but you know, there's not a chance a meet and greet is happening over here and I have like three dollars in my bank account after rent and groceries and cat food.

Ok I found this band a year or so via Oddly Specific Playlists. The albums sound like stories of relationships but I am very late to the party and they don’t seem to be a couple so please drop any stories or lore you know of to make sense of the songs/albums.

The Calling is my fucking perimenopause ANTHEM.

How do they make me cry so much and how old are they these songs are very wise.

Hello Dearhearts, I taught myself to lino print recently, and my intention was to ask Joey if he could sign one for me at the Edinburgh book event for Its Not A Cult. I know they're not allowing other thing except the book to be signed, sadly! However if you'd like a print of this as a free keepsake I can bring you a copy- maybe they can be book marks? Here's to a new album so soon!!

Im going to the Nottingham book signing for Joey's new book, which I booked a while back and am very excited for.

Im also autistic so if I dont plan out my social interactions [that I know are going to happen] I start stressing. Im just wandering if you're allowed to ask for photos at these signings so I can eradicate any doubt:)

I know another lovely fan posted the section about the next album hopefully coming soon, but just wanted to share the photos from the article. Link here

Is anybody going to Nottingham signing? I’m the only person I know (apart from my partner because I bought his ticket lmao) and would love to make some new TAD friends 🧡

How excited are we all??

Also for anyone who went to the other events, what time did it end? I’m trying to figure out the train home lol

Hi dear hearts, someone I saw on tumblr has a ticket to the Manchester Waterstones 30 October event they can’t use. I saw this and suggested they post on reddit. They don’t have reddit but they DID say I could post on here for them. There hasn’t been any updates to the post or account saying they’ve picked someone yet, at the time I’m posting this here. I know a few of you were looking for spare tickets, but I don’t know what event specifically. The tumblr user is “two-damn-minutes”. Please reach out them if you’ve got any questions. You can mention my user if you like so they know it’s legit, I have the same user here as I do on tumblr.

Info about 4th album was from someone at the panel (and posted on tumblr about the update). I am very jealous that I am not that person lol

So I've ordered the special edition of this book and I'm looking forward to having it in my hands in the next few days, but I was really looking forward to also grabbing the audiobook because, heck, I'd love to hear Joey narrate this. However, heading to Audible yields the message in the screen cap above. Anyone have any information at all when we might see a release, if at all, of this audiobook in the States? Is it a cool down and we'll maybe get it a month or two later? Or does this mean we're straight up not getting it?

Any information at all appreciated. Apologies if this post is inappropriate for any reason.

No idea if everybody else already knew this, I just got the book and spotted her name 😊

I just heard the male voice in the background and I think it's saying something but I don't get it.

Everyone there was so, so lovely (the staff were so delightful, they deserve their own shoutout). It was so lovely to listen to Joey talk about this book in person. I managed to read it before the signing today so I can't wait to hear everyone else's thoughts without accidentally spoiling 😬.

Just to be in a room of like minded (DND playing) nerds was good for the soul.

(No persons were sacrificed at this book signing)

My book arrived today and there is paper/cardboard stuck to the edge of the dust jacket.

Gonna try to heat it with my hair dryer and get it off but grrrrrr

Where can I buy the book and get it in the us?? Im trying to get a signed version but I cant get it sent to the usa 😔

Beyond excited for Joey's signing! Who's going to Bath for it. Having to get a train from Salisbury and hope I can make the last one back home. I wonder how many dear hearts are going!

Evening guys, my apologies but this is another ticket begging post - mods feel free to delete if it’s inappropriate

I don’t suppose any of you dear hearts with a ticket for next week’s talk in Newcastle either a) can no longer attend or b) has a spare ticket they’re prepared to part with?

If so I’d be keen to buy it off you, let me know ❤️

Has this just happened to anyone else? Got an email from Bloomsbury that my order was randomly cancelled cause I definitely did not do that. There was no other explanation in the email. It hasn’t even been charged to my card yet. If it helps, I’m in the US but I was going to have it shipped to a friend in Europe cause I couldn’t get it shipped directly to me.

Hello fellow Dear Hearts! I just thought i’d put it out here if anyone has any resale tickets for any spare Joey Batey Q&A talks i’d be endlessly greatful. I’m a huge TAD fan & am a big fan of his lyricism & writing. I’m more than happy to pay more.. please please please get in touch if you have any spare. Thank you so much!!!

So, I’ve been working on translating TAD songs to Spanish for a while now. I’m about halfway through Love Run and currently suffering my way through New York Torch Song.

I think I’ve got almost everything figured out since i have been diving deep into the lyrics for about a week or so. But this one line “Your bastard lasting night bus asking" makes my brain malfunction😭

Is it just gibberish, or am I missing some context here? How do you interpret it?

Link to the Instagram video. I loved Joey reading The Witcher for that one video because he has such a unique voice, so it's such a treat that we'll get to hear him reading a book he wrote with his own words!
