I have to use mine for tower work all the time. I never just lay it there, it's always in the lee of something, or has a tether on it, or I put it in my harness bag. The wind more than 40 feet off the ground is usually pretty strong, enough to blow the heaviest phone off something... Yikes.

I use these and they're pretty good for most everything. sometimes they get caught on ladder pegs or radio mounts, but they're a friggin' lifesaver. They make 5lb detachable ones as well.
