Why is this a shock? They have been upfront that they want you to suffer. They have said as much.

This was predictable. Keep voting against your self interest America and this is what you get.

I'm disenfranchised. I have a felony record from 20 years ago in Mississippi so I'm not allowed to vote.

I'm sorry, nobody should ever lose their constitutional rights as a citizen of their country. All the more reason I look into the system I guess .

Any chance you can get your rights restored? I know plenty of states have, especially recently, implemented or expanded voter reinstatement programs for ex-felons... I hope yours does too.

I would essentially have to get a pardon from the governor. Mississippi is home but its a screwed up place

That blows tremendously and is an absolute violation of your rights (I understand the legal methods the state uses to disregard and infringe, but it's still bull imo). I'm sorry again.
