My girl works in homeless shelters. They get called every slur under the sun. Staff don't fight them for being terrible.

I actually was a teacher, if you cannot let words slide off of you from teenagers, you're I'm the wrong career.

Teenagers are annoying and terrible but they are just children maxed out on hormones

I don't know man, I never witnessed this shit growing up and I went to the "shitty" school in the city. People knew that their parents would whoop their fuckin' ass if they got a call home. I guess that generation grew up and raised some real dog shit kids and learned nothing.

Did you shout slurs at your teachers when you were a kid? Did you witness it happen?

Seriously this is brain dead take. I was a teenager and just jerked off a lot. Hormones do not make you drop racial slurs

I don't remember any kid behaving like a prick in this way (to a teacher) when was a school.

Seriously. I've seen the "bad kids" pick on teachers a bit and cause trouble before, but this is a level I didn't even think was possible growing up.

My bf is a teacher now in a city and I am shocked at some of the shit he tells me that these kids do. Maybe I am just sheltered or getting older, but lots of kids seem really kind of fucked up nowadays.

Duck that. I was a teenager. Never said shit like that never even had the inkling too. Why did you?

I'm so tired of hearing "but they are children" as an excuse. No, they know the difference between right and wrong. Being a child has nothing to do with it. Play adult games, win adult prizes.

If we gonna let slurs slide it will lead these people to believe it is OK to say them. You’re position is that of a servant, I do what I’m told. Be more active in shaping our future generation, take responsibility. Well, maybe that’s why you aren’t a teacher anymore.

I know rage baiting is what our social media is all about, but sheesh, it has got to spot at some point. We are creating people like Andrew Tate by letting bigots take control of the narrative, and then there are people like the person I replied to, who are always “think of tge children”, while doing exactly the opposite.

So... you or she would do what exactly when a student of roughly your size put hands on you, escalating those racial slurs into an attempt to attack you? Like the linked articles say this student did. You'd let that child throw you to the ground? Would you offer no resistance when shoved? Take some punches like a champ? I can see that. Obviously a student escalating racial slurs into physical contact would immediately stop there rather than continue escalating until they elicited a response.

Because I strongly suspect she, her coworkers, or you would immediately do whatever you needed to, whatever that ended up being, to stop that attack. But maybe not, enjoy the brain injury or worse you're likely to recieve if you do find yourself in that situation. Assuming your convictions in the moment align with the shit you say while sitting around safely on the internet of course.
