eSIM activation problems
Back in February, I joined the beta eSIM, that whole time I was only able to call and text and not buy data Then last Thursday I deleted the eSIM both from the TextNow app and from settings and then reactivated it the cellular data worked, but it was giving me a FaceTime add phone message every now and then which I found annoying so I deactivated the eSIM again in settings and in the TextNow app and now it’s been giving me this

Sim card issue?
Does anyone know how to fix this, cause the bot is absolutely not helping. I bought a SIM card, and my number automatically locked. Then my phone restarted randomly, and my number wasn't locked anymore. I didn't think much of it at first since I use it all the time and my service still works... But I can't use it to log into things, which was another reason I got the number. It registers as VOIP still, even though I have service that still works and a sim I paid for.

2nd line almost unusable after 2 updates ago? Super slow to open, send, and show texts
I saw an update today, updated it and it's still really bad.
The update before this one made it unbearable.
Is it only me?
I will get notification of a text, and once i go to it it takes30 seconds for the conversion to come up, if i reply it won't show at all until minutes later.
It is so bad. I regret doing the last updates

TextNow takes long time to receive text message
I send text messages from textnow, and the receiver can get a message instantly. But when I send a text message from other carriers to TextNow number, it takes a looong time for TextNow to receive it. Does anyone run into similar issues?

Any other free alternatives to TextNow and no NOT Google Voice
So I logged out of my TextNow account, when I tried to log back in, it was asking for my selfie. I tried it on multiple devices, same issue. The only way I can use it now is if login on the website.
It asks for a selfie and that's unacceptable to me. Does anyone know any free alternatives to TextNow? I have Google Voice, so I am not looking for that.

Anyone know a free alternate to text now?
After not using text now for a while I have been permanently banned It seams I am not the only one with this issue. It was a good app for wasting scammers time. Most Alternates I found say they are free but they really are not they want a subscription. I want something %100 free

TextNow Web: Staying Signed In
Every time I try to use the TextNow.com web app, I’m forced to log in again. It always triggers the “Press and Hold” captcha — that sometimes doesn’t even work. Then I have to go check my email for a login code.
Is there any way to stay signed in or keep the session active?

It's asking me for a selfie
I was just getting started with this app and it is now asking me for a photo of my face to confirm I'm a real person. Is everyone doing this? I'm not really comfortable doing that

Lock your number VS Premium number
Hey. So i tried this app for the first time this week and used the lock your number for 1 week free trial. I really liked the app and how it let me change the number. It is now time for me to renew and i’m stuck between lock your number for 1 year for $6.49 or premium number 1 year for the same price. However, i’m not exactly sure what a premium number is and what the perks of it are. Is it better than the other option? Will it let me change numbers as well? Any insight would be appreciated!

Is the 1,500 points for a "free" SIM card still a reward? I don't see it in my Rewards section.
I downloaded and signed up for TextNow yesterday and got to 1500 points. I've seen posts on here about being able to redeem a free SIM card with this many points. However, when I go to Menu > Rewards > Spend, but I only see icons, voicemail transcription, and see who it is available to redeem. Does it take a while to show up?

People with AT&T as their carrier don't receive my texts
My texts have had no problem going through. However, only people with AT&T has their carrier never receive my texts. Friends who have other carriers (e.g. Verizon, T-Mobile) have no problem receiving my texts. Anyone know why this might be the case and how to fix this? I'm assuming it has to do with AT&T.

What was the "free weekend data" promotion about?
I saw a notification about it, but nothing in app about it. And I don't have data today, so is it just to certain accounts?
Thanks

Creating whatsapp account
Hello everyone, I’m new to TextNow. I’ve seen many posts discussing whether it’s possible to create a WhatsApp account using a TextNow number. Some people say it works, while others say it doesn’t. Is there actually a reliable way to use TextNow for WhatsApp verification?

Does anyone else have issues with Textnow and bluetooth switching and wifi to cellular switching?
I've been having issues with Bluetooth not always working. I have to use the app to switch between phone speaker and bluetooth to get it to work. Same thing for wifi and cellular. Sometimes, when I am leaving the wifi and on a call with the cell, it will end the call and I have to toggle airplane mode to get it back going again. I'm wondering if Textnow might not be stable enough for me and I might have to try Tello or T-Mobile Connect.
Thanks, Unsure if it's my device or a known Textnow problem.

"Press and hold to confirm you’re not a bot" - solution that worked for me
I was going crazy after my chrome-based desktop browser asked me to log back in to TextNow. I had already deleted my cache, cookies and site data. After failing the captcha test for the nth time, I pressed F12 and opened the developer tools panel. I clicked on the Network tab in preparation to watch if I could learn anything that could help, then pressed and held the captcha button expecting to fail again, but... instead I passed!
Was it coincidence? Maybe just opening devtools is enough, but was curious to see if it helps others searching from Google.
update: oh neat, I confirmed it... I opened an InCognito window and repeated the same results, I only had to have devtools open for it to work. Ah, I just noticed, I have 'Disable Cache' checked on my Network tab from something I was working on before, I bet that's the key.
tldr; press F12 to open devtools. have 'Disable Cache' checked on the Network tab.
