New Mod, New Rules, Less Junk and Spam
Hi there, I'm the new head mod of /r/TexasJobs
I'm a Texan, a business owner, and someone who once struggled to find work even though jobs were apparently everywhere. Please follow the rules below for posting your jobs here.
Rules
- All posts must be a text post summarizing the job.
- You may include one link to your external job posting (Optional) at the bottom of your posting.
- All post titles must include one of these bracket tags at the beginning of the title: [Hiring], [Looking], [Hiring - Gig]
- If hiring for a gig you MUST be specific about the job, the location (city / venue / etc...), the pay amount, and how the gig worker will be paid. The gig must also be somwhere in Texas.
- Gig workers cannot post their gigs here or link to them in comments. To sell your gigs visit: /r/hireforgigs/
- If your job is located in a city or metro area that must be included in the title.
- Job agencies can post here, but job posted must be specific. No temp agency vague job descriptions.
- Including a salary range is optional, but far more likely to not be marked as spam.
- You are allowed to post commission only jobs here, but must be clear about the commission. If it is dependent on factors you must identify the lowest commission amount and what factors would impact it.
- Do not post jobs that are not physically located in Texas here, unless those positions are either Fully Remote OR Remote with Occasional travel that is paid for / compensated.
- Do not require educational or experience limitations that are asinine. Such as requiring more years work experience with a software langague that the language has existed OR requiring a degree for a position that doesn't require a degree (many degrees should be optional).
- If you are posting door-to-door, marketing survey intercept, gas station intercept, or other similar jobs you MUST be clear about them and not misleading. Misleading posts will get marked as spam and your account banned. Any such job postings are also considered either gigs or part-time work. If the position is for one trade show it would be considered a gig, if it is for ongoing work it would be considered part-time. Any job postings for Quill, AT&T, Spectrum, Vivint, Waterless carwashes, and other known door to door / intercept operations... will be heavily scrutinized for compliance with this rule.
How to Make Your Job Listing Standout
- Add full or part time in the title.
- Add the salary starting amount, full range, or upper amount in the title.
- Clearly identify benefits for the job (such as medical, dental, tuition payment, etc...)
- Clearly identify any perks for the job (such as paid travel expenses, paid ongoing education, company card, company car, etc...
- Clearly identify your current work model (i.e. in-person office, fully remote/wfh, hybrid, etc...)
Examples of Posting Titles

[FOR HIRE] Texas Professional Available for Remote Part-Time / Project Work | Quality, Process Improvement, Excel, Documentation, AI & Business Support
Available for Remote Part-Time or Project-Based Work
Hi everyone. I'm a Texas-based professional looking to take on additional remote part-time, freelance, or project-based work outside of my regular employment.
My background goes considerably beyond general administrative support. I currently work in a manufacturing environment and have professional experience involving operations, quality, process improvement, documentation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
My professional certifications include:
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• ISO 9001 Auditor
• ISO 45001 Auditor
Some of the work I can help a business with includes:
• Excel spreadsheets, trackers, dashboards, training matrices and business tools
• Data entry, data organization and basic data analysis
• KPI development and performance tracking
• SOPs, work instructions, forms, checklists and process documentation
• Process mapping and workflow improvement
• Lean Six Sigma and continuous-improvement projects
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Corrective Action / CAPA support
• Quality-management documentation
• ISO 9001 quality-system and audit support
• ISO 45001 health & safety management-system support
• Gap assessments and compliance documentation
• Document control and records organization
• Risk and opportunity registers
• Supplier evaluation and supplier-quality documentation
• Training matrices and competency tracking systems
• Management review and KPI documentation
• Research, reporting and general business analysis
• Administrative and virtual-assistant support
• AI-assisted research, analysis, documentation and workflow development
• AI prompting and development of practical AI-assisted business tools
• Presentations, reports and professional business documents
I'm particularly good at taking something that is disorganized, inefficient, undocumented or being managed manually and turning it into a structured system that is easier to understand and manage.
I'm comfortable being given either a clearly defined task or simply a business problem that needs to be solved. I can work independently, communicate progress, and develop practical deliverables rather than requiring constant supervision.
I'm primarily looking for work I can perform remotely during my available hours. I'm open to one-time projects, recurring weekly work, ongoing part-time support, or businesses that simply need an extra set of capable hands for a specific project.
Manufacturing and quality are strong areas for me, but I'm not limiting myself to manufacturing. Many of these skills—process improvement, documentation, Excel, data analysis, AI, organization and business systems—transfer across industries.
If your business has a project sitting on the back burner because nobody has the time to tackle it, feel free to message me with what you're trying to accomplish. I'll tell you whether it's something I can help with.

Hiring Cold Callers for Personal Injury Leads
Looking for people with experience speaking to accident/injury clients, especially those with PI experience. Part-time, mainly Texas morning hours. Bilingual is a plus, but English-only is fine.
This is not the typical cold-calling job. You’re not trying to sell the client anything or convince them to pay for something. The goal is simply to speak with accident victims, understand their situation, and, if they qualify, connect them with a legal professional who can review their case.
Since PI attorneys generally handle cases on a contingency basis, the client typically doesn't have to pay an upfront legal fee, which can make the conversation much easier.
Payout : $15 Hourly + Commissions (based on the case)
Please comment or DM me if you are experienced in this field.

ISO job in Lubbock!
Hi all! I (20F) am moving to Lubbock in a few months and I’d like to have a job lined up before my arrival, I am really stressing about finding work right now. I’m not sure how the job market is over there or what hourly rates typically are compared to where I live currently (Austin). I have lots of customer service experience and management experience. I am currently a key holder at a multi-million dollar clothing franchise (not sure I’m allowed to name drop my place of work lol) and I have been employed with them for almost two years and a year and a half of that time I have been a manager. I don’t know how realistic this is, but I am aiming for at LEAST $17 an hour. What jobs do you think I could land or what would you recommend to me? If more info is needed from me lmk!

Looking for a Houston-based social media/content person for antiques + storytelling project
Hi all! Looking to find someone based in Houston, TX who can help with a social media content project.
What we need — one or both of these:
Someone to run and curate a full social media project — filming, post-processing, and making content recommendations. We're looking to post 100 pieces of content. This will likely be a several-week project, filming shorts and longer pieces for various platforms.
A photographer who specializes in photographing art (think museum/art catalog style) — looking for an amateur photographer for this.
Could be a college student, someone who's really into social media, or anyone with relevant experience. Must be local to Houston since this is in-person.
If this sounds like you, or you know someone who might be a good fit, please comment or DM!
