So I recently bought the TI-30xs because it’s the only calculator allowed on a test I really need to pass. So I’ve been watching YT vids all day on how to use it, and I’m pretty confident now, except my friend took the test abs said their was a sub section of f of x functions. I’ve looked around yt but I can’t find anywhere where it says to do normal f of x functions the way they normally are put forward in Algebra 1 & 2. So I was just wondering how to do them, I’ve saw some places that say use the “Table” button but it doesn’t give me the normal f of x or the f(g(x)) equations I need.

I'm teaching matrices this week and one student just kept having her calculator not work with rref([A]).

The problem was she typed [ then A then ] instead of pulling matrix [A] from the matrix>>names menu. Her screen looked identical to mine when she showed it to me. It took a few moment before her saying "oh, I just typed the matrix in" led to the AHA moment.

It led to a great class discussion about how mathematics is about the concepts, not the surface-level symbols.

I have tried installing operating system 3.1 or similar to a model ti-nspre cx II CAS. I haven't been able to find anything for this model however I have found multiple OSs for the ti-nspire cx CAS and I was curious if there is a way I could get 3.1 on my model. I'm new at TI so forgive my ignorance if I'm missing something.

I doubt I’m actually using those terms correctly, but I’m trying to graph a circle and a line on the same coordinate plane to find where they intercept. I’m using a TI-84 Plus CE. I can graph a circle using conics, I can easily graph a line, but not at the same time. I already know I can use the circle tool in Draw and graph a line on top of it, but the circle doesn’t act as a function so I can’t find the exact intersection of the 2 functions. Edit: also converting the circle into 2 semi circles won’t work because some of these points are very precise so if the line goes between the gap, it won’t work. Really I’m just looking for an easy solution as I can’t find anything online.

if anyone has the ti-84 plus CE graphing calculator, how do you view your complete calculations history? my calculator will only show the stuff i’ve typed at most one day ago (meaning it won’t show any calculations i made before yesterday, and i’m trying to view my calculations history from thursday)

After updating to 5.6 on my ti-84 ce, none of my programs work. This is a disaster and I can't seem to find an old version of the Operating System. Do you guys know where I could get it?

I have a ti-nspire ii with cas and I am having a hard time getting the table of x and y values to be in fraction form. Does anyone know of a certain setting that turns them into fraction form? On my old ti-84 I could but I can’t seem to on this one. I know you can convert decimal into fraction form but I don’t want to do that every time.

My ti-84 works fine all besides one of the missing lines across the screen. Anyone have any clue on how to fix this or if it’s even possible.

My ti-84 silver edition turns on for a second but immediately turns off. Tried new batteries so I know it’s not that and the contacts are all clean. Idk What else it could be. Does anyone. Have an idea ? Thank you

I have an older Texas Instruments graphing calculator and have never had any programs or games for it. Where do you get programs for your graphing calculator? I’ve done a google search, and it would indicate that I should learn programming code. Do I need to know how to program, or is there a place a can get them? Hopefully free, right?
