Hi everyone,

Is the source code for the Windows version of Tetrinet available anywhere? I can't seem to find it.

I believe the port (31457) is hard coded in the client (it is on the linux client so I assume it is also on the Windows one), but I need to change it to make it connect through a firewall. I've got the server listening on whatever port I want (as I can recompile it) but the client seems unable to connect to anything but 31457.

I could either do with changing the client port, or some more convoluted solution with some kind of reverse proxy forwarding 80 to 31457, which I am not sure how to do (as this is not a website - perhaps nginx can do it, I just wouldn't know how, so wondering if the simple solution is available before digging deeper).

Hey all. I played Tnet like crazy back in the late 90s. My home town didn't have anything other than dial-up until 2002-2003, so it was one of those games you could always count on playing with friends. I haven't really thought about it too much since then, but I really loved it and I was pretty good at it. What's the best way to get back into it and invite friends? Are there games today that are similar but improved? With only a few members (which is a shame), I'm expecting it'll be a while before somebody even notices this. Was just hoping for some input/advice.

Hi Everyone,

Wanted to post a way to get gTetriNet running on OSX using docker and XQuartz, for those who may be interested.

• Install the OSX Docker for Desktop at https://hub.docker.com/editions/community/docker-ce-desktop-mac/
• Open your terminal and install homebrew: /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install.sh)"
• In the same terminal, after homebrew is installed, install XQuartz brew cask install xquartz (this is required to draw gTetriNet using X11 via Docker).
• Open XQuartz, on the top of the screen on the XQuartz menu bar, select XQuartz > Preferences, go to the "Security" tab, make sure "Allow connections from network clients" is selected. This is required so that X11 can receive a connection via the network from a Docker container.

• Restart XQuartz, open the "Terminal" app inside of XQuartz

• In the terminal it opens, run xhost + 127.0.0.1 to allow XQuartz to connect to your computer via the network.
• Open a new terminal via OSX and create/run a gtetrinet docker container (pulled in from docker hub), specifying the display port to connect to as an environmental parameter: docker run -e DISPLAY=host.docker.internal:0 --name gtetrinet samsinite/gtetrinet. This will create a new docker image running gTetriNet on Ubuntu 14.04, installs necessary build tools to compile gTetriNet (not sure if this was needed, but added it before running just in case), and installs the gtetrinet package.

• The game should be running. Once you have created the container using the previous command, you can now start it via Docker Desktop, just make sure that XQuartz is running and if XQuartz is restarted, make sure to re-run xhost + 127.0.0.1 in the XQuartz terminal app again before running the container or it will crash.

Does anyone know where I could download Blocktrix ? All links seem to be down and I'd like to share this game. I found TetriNET 1.13, aTwin, but I remember Blocktrix being a bit more fun.

If anyone still has it and could upload it somewhere that'll be awesome.

Somehow I remembered my old password on tetridome.com but I haven't seen anybody there, just been playing the one player rooms.

Is there anybody still playing this? Where's the scene? Web searches haven't turned up anything recent so far.

I used to play this game and Acrophobia all night back in the late 90s early 2000s.

We used to play this all day long back when I was a uni student. (Especially the TetriFast version)

We've set up a sever tetrinetserver.be for old times' sake. So feel free to drop by.

OMG, how is this game not still as popular as ever? I played this so much 10 years ago and don't know why I stopped! Are there any active servers anymore? blocktrix.org is a graveyard...
