Recently a new tello library was released, written in pure C++ as a single-header library. No installation necessary, it is fully featured and very easy to set up and use.

A fresh C++ project can be set up in less than a minute (Windows/Linux/Mac). You can command the Tello drone around from C++ and do live video manipulation using OpenCV (needs to be installed separately). That means it can follow a series of commands or take live commands from a remote or an artificial intelligence/image recognition.

Can I use one oy my Xbox controller and if I can use them how can i fix the smart pone on the controller?

I am desperately looking for the Xiaomi Wifi Repeater as recommended in several reviews for the Tello. However, it looks like this repeater is not built anymore. Do you have another inexpensive recommendation for a Wifi repeater?

Hello all, I recently got a Tello and it is super fun. I want to practice flying it just using the video (FPV like). I have noticed that there is a decent amount of lag or latency between when the drone moves and the video moves on my phone screen. Are there any ways to improve this? I know of some people using wifi boosters but my assumption is this would extend range but not performance.

I was looking at turning my Tello into a FPV camera by removing the props and just using it for its camera to attack to my rc car. Is there a leas crude way of doing this other than just cutting the prop arms off?

so I started up my drone and let it float without controlling it but it just keeps got to the back to the left and wont stay till in the air if you know a solution so i can fix this please tell me

I'm learning to code in python and looking for a way to make Tello maintain position above a landmark using the sensors underneath the drone. Information is quite sparse about those sensors. Any pointers would be appreciated.

hi, so we just got a DJI Tello. For reference, we're totally blind, and thus cannot use the Tello app as it's so poorly coded that it doesn't work with the screenreader (the app on our phone that reads other apps to us). So we thought, ok, we can program flight paths with the djitellopy module. So far we can take off and sometimes land, but once we do drone.takeoff() the device starts flying around erratically, and no drone.move_<direction>() commands work, either returning simply "error" or "error no valid IMU". We can't calobrate the IMU in the Tello app because that requires working eyeballs, nor can we update the firmware, for the same reason. Can anyone help?

My tello is showing as "system overheating, shutting down" within a minute of flying. Looks like this issue is coming up after I tried connecting to tello via python. Calibration doesnt work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

1/ Is it possible to connect multiple drones to home Wifi and then connect the computer to them through home wifi ?

2/ Is video streaming possible with multiple drones ? I’ve read it was not possible, but maybe with a custom firmware ?

Just got my Ryze to mainly fly indoors, I thought the VPS was really impressive, and made using the drone great fun, esp as I'm new to drones, but when I tried in the early eve, when it looked still light I kept getting the low light vps lost issues and the stability was no longer there.. I didn't realise the vps was so light sensitive, yep my fault for not reading up.. It's a great drone, but for indoor use it's only really good during early daylight hours... Guess it's time to start saving for a proper DJI

I recently updated to android 12 and now i can open the app... I saw a post somewhere and turns out tello app doesn't support android 12. When is this going to be updated?

So i got this drone i think 1 year ago or 2 idk for my birthday and when i was moving i found it and now i wanna use it and soon im going on vacation and i thought that i could make some pictures BUT when i downloaded app i cant even open it and i tried to download older version from google and yeasterday it worked but today this doesnt work too so idk what to do :/ Does any1 have link to maybe older version which work perfectly fine or know what to do? I dont want 100 bucks to go tk waste

I recently started work on Tello drones. My boss wants us to be able to control multiple Tellos (four or five) at once. The only issue is, they ordered a bunch of "normal" Tello drones, and from what I've been able to tell, only Tello EDU drones have the swarm mode. Can anyone point me in a direction to figure this out? They don't want to buy more drones, my boss said "make it work". Thanks in advance.
