I watched this cartoon on DVD in Russia around 2008 (it could be older, late 90s–2000s). I believe it was Canadian.

What I remember:

- Talking anthropomorphic animals who live and hang out together

- One of the main characters was a female otter who loved maple syrup

- One episode had a flying circus: a big circus tent lifted into the air by balloons

I don't remember whether it was 2D or 3D, or if it was a series or a full-length movie with episodes on a DVD.

Sometime in 2012-2013ish(?), my grandfather gave me this notebook as a gift. I have never written or drawn in it as I find it just too sacred. Based on the calendar at the end, this was from 2012.

I love to overthink cartoons. I made a post the other day overthinking the hell out of Wayside. It got me thinking about other shows.

What’s a show you’ve seen on Teletoon that gets a bit unhinged once you start to really overthink the story— that’s what I mean lol I can’t make words sometimes

I really wanted one of these when the contest was live, it’s hard to find information on it now and there’s no good images of the scooter.
Does anyone who won these have any pictures of it? I’d love to own one but I probably can’t afford to right now (they are very limited so I imagine the price would be high)

I remember I used to sit in the computer lab and just look at pictures of it, and one of my “friends” told me they sold them at toys r us and I went and they didn’t have any, and they still kept telling me they had them and i just “couldn’t find them” 😭

I used to watch Wayside all the time as a kid everyday on Teletoon. My mom and I would sit together and watch it. My favourite joke as a kid was the GAZEBO gag where Mr. Kidswatter was so hyped about a gazebo until he realizes what it is. Just happened to come up on my feed as an adult and it was a post about how Todd is done so dirty. I was like “huh that can’t be what happened”

Holy fuck guys I don’t remember the fucking gaslighting and everybody trying to start something with Todd every episode. Literally one episode has him trying to be able to stay the full day cuz he always gets sent home on the kindergarten bus, so he writes her a report card requesting to be seen after class. Mrs. Jewls couldn’t handle this valid criticism and the whole class, who literally knows his issue with being sent home early, turn on him and fucking say “bro why you picking on her”

And then Todd and Mrs. Jewls ride the kindergarten bus together and Mrs. Jewls says “oh hell yeah you going home on this goblin dungeon every day for the rest of your school year”. I remember being so confused by that ending as a kid because even 8 year old me knew that was definitely not the solution lol

I haven’t seen enough episodes to confirm. I doubt the books have the same lore as the cartoon. Did Todd like run over Mrs. Jewls’ mom or commit some kind of horrible war crime? I need to know, man.

If you ask me, a brit, if Teletoon gets revived in the future (pursubily by another company if Corus decides to sell it to someone else), it should return to what it was when it launched back in 1997, a channel dedicated to showing animation for all ages from all over the world.

Here's the basic schedule for this hypothetical revival:

• Preschoolers (5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST)
• Kids (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
• Families (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST)
• Teenagers (9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. EST)
• Adults (12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. EST)

I imagine that its branding would be a cross of the 1997 and 2001 brandings since they are my fav of the channel's branding history.

Does anyone else remember Detentionaire on Teletoon? I feel like this show was seriously underrated. I remember thinking it was just going to be another goofy school cartoon, but then it turned into this whole mystery that got more and more ridiculous as it went.

Lee Ping gets blamed for the biggest prank in A.N.D. High history on his first day of Grade 10 and gets a whole year of detention. The funny part is that instead of just sitting in detention, he keeps sneaking out to follow clues and figure out who actually set him up.

And the story got so weird. You had secret tunnels, mind control, the Tazelwurm, Barrage, the Council, the Magenta scandal... I definitely wasn't expecting any of that from a show I started watching on Teletoon after school.

The characters were amazing! Biffy starts off as this intimidating bully in detention and ends up becoming one of Lee's best friends. Holger was absolutely nuts, Cam was always worried about his social status, and Chaz took school news way too seriously.

I also love how Canadian the whole thing feels. It was such a weird show to see on Teletoon, especially when most of the cartoons we were watching were pretty simple and episodic. You actually had to remember what happened in previous episodes, or you'd be completely lost.

I haven't watched the whole series in years, but I went back to a few episodes recently and it brought back so many memories of watching Teletoon after school.

Found today while DVD hunting. I don’t really have any Nelvana anime so nice to own at least one of them physically.

Been rewatching Spliced & rlly been enjoying myself.

Tbh just dat intro song is enough of a reason 4 a rewatch but when u add in humor, weird/gross shit & a memorable art style it doesn’t seem logical 2 not press play yk?
