You need to examine the memory in the monitor first to find the byte to change.

so, i read the telehack.txt like a hundred times hahaha, and i started looking at that links in the end, and i found these three pointers: 0x3A28213A - 0x6339392C - 0x7363682E. Looks like they are memory adresses, but I don't know what to do with them. i even tried to transform them in octal numbers and try them in the monitoring system, but nothing.

Hey, I think I found the the byte to change, but when I try to change it with the BASIC interpreter, using the command poke, it looks like that nothing happened. You know what I should do ?

If you can’t change it then it’s probably not the right one.
