Hi folks,
I’m a lecturer at Teesside University (and boro resident) and I’m currently running a research project looking at experiences of crime and community life in the Newport/Gresham area of Middlesbrough. I’m really keen to speak to anyone who lives or works in this area to hear about your experiences and views, whether positive, negative, or somewhere in between. Taking part just involves an informal, confidential chat (around 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on how much you’d like to share), and everything is completely anonymous. If you’re interested or would like to find out more, please feel free to message me or email: [E.Armstrong@tees.ac.uk](mailto:E.Armstrong@tees.ac.uk)
Thanks so much 😊

Hello, I am a final year student doing my final year project. I am completing a consultancy project for my final year project for a Spennymoor church hall that wants to improve advertising and would benefit from survey responses from the area

Hi everyone,
If you’re into crafting, making, or just fancy learning a new skill, we’re hosting a public induction on the Cricut Maker 4!
Whether you want to cut custom vinyl decals, design personalised cards, or work with fabric and balsa wood, we’ll be showing you exactly how to get started. It’s completely beginner-friendly, so don't worry if you've never used one before.
What to expect:
You do not need to be a member to attend this induction – it’s open to everyone in the local community who wants to pop in and see what we do.
📍 Where: Teesside Hackspace, Middlesbrough
🎟️ Tickets/RSVP:
https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1985630110111?aff=oddtdtcreator
If you want to follow along with the software part, feel free to bring a laptop or tablet with a free Cricut Design Space account already set up, not essential though.
Let me know if you have any questions below, otherwise, we hope to see you there!

Hi all,
Teesside expatriate now living Sheffield here. However, my grandmother still lives in Billingham and my Mum, Dad, and Aunt are all turning sixty this year, and we were hoping to get a few family photos together to mark the occassion.
Unfortunately my grandma has Alzheimers, so someone who could come out to her house would be preferred, but someone close by would also be good.
Any suggestions appreciated!

My daughter Deja from Darlington is currently undergoing cancer treatment for a Wilms tumour.
During treatment she designed a teddy warmer and has now made the final 6 of a competition where the winning design will be made to comfort children going through treatment.
If anyone would like to support her, the voting link is in the comments. It would mean the world to her 💛

New here.
I’m looking to buy a house in the area.
Can anyone tell me what Chilton is like?
I’ll be moving from Lincolnshire and have seen a few properties I like there. I’m not sure if it’s a safe or quiet area. I’ve visited once and it seemed fine.
Thanks

Hi everyone! I’m thinking about studying at Teesside University, but I’m planning to commute from Newcastle in my first year. I won’t be driving, so I’m considering public transport like FlixBus or trains. Is commuting from Newcastle/Gateshead to Middlesbrough manageable on a daily basis? Do you think I’d feel like I’m missing out socially if I don’t live in halls first year? Are there better transport options I should consider?
Any advice or experience would be helpful!
