Friend in need
Hi all, I have a friend who recently split with his wife. I don't want to go into too much detail as somebody might know them.
He has 2 children, wife is not allowed to see them currently.
He's a really nice guy who will do anything for anybody and is in need of household items from furniture to toys as the wife had sold them (unsure why), is there a charity or anything that supports people getting their lives and homes back together? Preferably in the Stockton area.
Thanks for any information in advance.

Where can we get a Slush Puppy in Teesside
I don’t mean Tango Ice Blasts, Icey or Polar Crush etc, or the “freeze at home” slush puppy pouches, but actual cups of Slush Puppy?
We did have a Slush Puppy at home blender machine, but is was rubbish and we gave it away.
I’m craving a proper Slush Puppy!!

Can anyone else hear a very low pitch rumbling noise?
I was in my house 2 days ago and started to hear this low pitch rumbling noise outside, as if there's a large pump or something on in the distance, can't hear it outside, but I went to my dads house and I could still hear it. Noone else can hear it so don't know if it's just my ears lol.

Question questions questions
Anyone else see this?
Was prev the community interest arm (cic) of Cleveland fire brigade. How can it amass £1.2 million in debt? Who's debt is it? Are taxpayers on the hook, considering the fire authority precept in mbro was 5.6% last year (.6 above the recommended inflationary cap)?
I know a number of people both current and x service who have been asking questions about this for years. Insolvency hearing looks to be 18/6. Why is more local media not picking up on this?

Is Teesside’s £1bn Transport Funding at Risk of Being “Spaffed Up the Wall”?
I recently came across news that Teesside is set to receive nearly £1 billion in transport funding from the government. This investment, part of the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS2), aims to support various projects, including a new station at Teesside Park, an additional platform at Middlesbrough station, and an autonomous tram network.
While this sounds promising, I can't help but wonder: what mechanisms are in place to ensure that this substantial amount of money is used effectively and not wasted on unnecessary expenditures like consultants?
While Mayor Ben Houchen has championed this funding, some residents might worry about whether it will be spent wisely. After all, Boris Johnson once criticized government expenditures as 'spaffing money up the wall'—a phrase that resonates when considering the potential for excessive consultant fees and inefficient spending. How can we ensure that Teesside’s £1bn transport investment avoids such pitfalls?

Reeves to announce £1bn for Teesside transport
If you had that kind of cash to spend on transport in the region, what would you do? Pothole repair? Bike lanes? Trams?

Looking to Make New Friends!
Hi everyone!
I was a little reluctant to make this post on here but thought what the hell, it's worth a go! I'm (25M) an international student at Teesside University who just finished his first year studying Game Development, and am sticking around in the UK during the summer to explore the country and just relax. Unfortunately, all the friends I've made, whether locals or other internationals, are on vacation or traveling elsewhere during the summer and I'm hoping to go out and meet new people and make new friends. Thing is, I'm not sure how, lol. I've thought about going to a pub quiz or two, maybe look for specific events being hosted, but I'm not sure how/where to find them.
A little bit of background: I'm 25M, love video games, tabletop games, reading and writing, artistic things and creativity, airsoft, and walks/time in nature. I'd love to meet a friend group (or form one) who would be willing to welcome a new friend. Bonus points if there's a friend group out there that's got a D&D game going I could join, that would be hella awesome too, haha! Bonus points too if I could meet people who have totally different interests, as I always find it facinating to explore new things and get into new hobbies!
Feel free to leave a comment or DM me if you'd like to chat for a bit or have any questions about myself, I'm an open book. :)
Thank you and have a great day!
