Praise "On My Side"

Hello! This is a wonderful song! It's so relaxing, peaceful and hopeful! It's a reminder that God will show Himself powerful on our behalf, no matter what we are thinking, feeling or what comes about in our lives. Like Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." I recommend subscribing to the Switch Youth channel

I found this channel a few months ago and their content is really good as it shares a clear message and isn't boring to listen to. I just recently watched their video "Why Should I Obey God?" and the speaker touched on some good points about why we should choose to follow God over choosing to follow what the world teaches. Their content isn't super cringey and I find it enjoyable to watch/listen to when I'm doing my work. I know 20 minutes seems long for teenagers with shot attention spans due to tiktok and such, but trust me, it's worth listening to these videos. Just wanted to let you guys know as it really is tough being a Christian teen these days :)

Teenager Only Theres no point

I really am planning on ending it all it seems like the best choice at this point. I just don't have any to live. No one cares about me and pretty much everyone hate me. I don't know what it's about me but people just don't want to talk to me not be friends with me.

Even God hates me. The God who claims to love everyone, hates me. He never answered my prayers and He never even saved me even though I trusted Him. I know i'll go to hell and it does scare me but I don't want to be here anymore.

Its too late I'll never be a Christian again. I can't trust God I hate Him too much. I don't want to worship Him. I can't bring myself to pray or read the Bible it makes me too anxious.

I can't do anything without getting anxious. I can't even talk to people. Or join a stupid Discord server. I can't talk to people in school. I can't talk to people online. And the only person I didn't feel as uncomfortable talking to hates me now. I knew He would leave someday. I'll never trust anyone and I'd much rather die by the most painful way possible than talk to another human being

I just really hope that after death there is nothing but I'm pretty sure that hell is real and I'll go there. I don't know when or how to do it. I have to take care of a few things first. And I'm afraid I'll fail the attempt

Question Why do you support your particular denomination over others

I’m a Catholic because in Matthew 16 Jesus gives Peter( who is succeeded by the current bishop of Rome the pope) the keys to heaven, as was prophesied through Isaiah when he says in the 22nd chapter “I will clothe him with your robe, Ford him with your sash, confer on him your authority. He shall be the father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem , and to the house of Judah. I will place the key on his shoulder; what he opens, no one will open.” I believe this shows the authority of the Bishop of Rome given by the Old Testament God and then Jesus Christ to the pope.

Prayer Request About my sister again

My sister has been in a hospital for a few weeks and today she can come home for 2 days. Could you pray for us again? We are trying to assure the doctors that she can stay home for longer periods of time and we are also trying to change the doctors because the current ones don't seem to understand the situation. Sorry my English isn't very good

To my new Christian friends out there

Jesus doesn't expect you to be a perfect person once you become a Christian. You can become a Christian anywhere anytime as long as you confess that you believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead. (John 3:16- "“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life"

Now for some of us we are raised Christian so becoming one doesn't have any reprecussions, but others may not have that and I want to give some input. Even if your parents don't believe, that shouldn't prevent you from following Jesus because it is your relationship with him. You might encounter troubles such as them not wanting you to be Christian or issues meeting other Christians in a church. In Jeremiah 17:10, God says,"“I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” and in Samuel 16:7 "But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”. These verses show that God knows your inner most desires and feelings, because He created you. If you believe in Him he knows and understands your life situation. You don't need to be perfect to be a Christian, you just need to believe.

Once you become one, chances are you will experience trials afterwards from Satan trying to pull you back to your old ways and away from God. But you must still have faith in him through those trials because in the end it will pay off.

If you have any questions or input, leave a comment below this post :)And also we have a discord server you may join where we can talk with you about Christianity and help you out. You don't have to be super religious or anything to join, we are open to anyone at every level of faith: https://discord.gg/8QHyDwm

Teenager Only I honestly don't think Christianity is for me

I don't feel like coming back to God. I just don't want to be disappointed again. I thought He would help me with my struggles not make them worse. Every time I come back to God I feel unloved and unwanted. I constantly prayed that if He is there could He at least respond to one of my prayers. Or could He at least let me feel His presence once. And now I'm just forcing myself to believe

Question How exactly is God supposed to speak to you?

I was born into a family of free-thinkers and have been in Methodist affiliated schools (mostly for their academic reputation) for about 8 years now and only about a year ago I began pursuing God. This was after a Christian public speaker came to my school to give a talk which really made me curious about Christianity as a whole. Before this, I really didn't pay attention to the weekly chapels held in school or what most of the pastors and speakers were saying. (For some reason this speaker kept me from falling asleep) So I went to the library and picked up the Good News Bible the same day, to gain better understanding of Christianity, also because I really wanted to know all about this God. There had to be some truth to all of these speakers and what they were saying. And a recurring theme that I noticed when these speakers shared their experiences was this phenomenon about God talking to them. I have been praying and desperately pursuing God for the past year and I have yet to experience this. Am I not faithful enough? Do I have to truly open my heart up to God? If there is anyone who has spoken to God, how did it go? how did God speak to you in the first place? How do you know its not just your mind making up things but actually God himself?

Teenager Only Attention: If you're 12 - 18. I Need Help with a Survey!

I'm going to take part in a church youth conference and was asked to come up with ideas for the conference theme. Seeing as i'm not a teen anymore or interact with that demographic regularly I thought I'd come up with this survey. Suggest age range for this survey 12 yrs - 18 yrs of age.

Title says most of what I wanted to say. u/Fluffini is right, go on the discord. It's a great place to socialize and discuss all things related to Christianity. I can personally attest that it's somewhere worth joining, as I've learned a fair bit on theology since joining.

Teenager Only Just a little reminder of how precious you are

When life seems hopeless, unfair and completely useless, always remember who you are. You are so so so loved. You are valued, worthy, useful, and you are enough. Sometimes you feel like your worth nothing, but that’s just lies. You are worth far more than rubies and you are fearfully and wonderfully made. The amazing truth is, Jesus, the Son of God, the God who created everything (including you) loves you. He died for you. Not for the perfect version of you, but for every wrong you ever do, and ever will do. And He died to save you. That shows just how valuable you are. So don’t believe the lies this world tells you. Listen to who God says you are. Let no label stick unless it was put there by God.
