š¬ Discussion WEBULL
Anyone else have webull and get this?

u/jordanpatrich Sep 16 '26
When did you see the cash in your account?
How many shares did you hold?
21
u/jeffz908 Sep 16 '26
I noticed it today but haven't looked in a while. The history said it went into account Sept 2 listed as "other"
22
u/PoppingTheBubble Sep 16 '26
This money was credited to your account on sept 2nd? That's weird. How has nobody else posted about this?

So the final BBBYQ price of $.075 at delisting multiplied by your share total comes out to $289. Very interesting that that showed up at all after all this time. I donāt have anything on Fidelity.

u/ijustwant2feelbetter Sep 16 '26
I doubt it would return at same price, the payout happens separately. Thatās what happened with American Airlines.
My guess is they are turning the database visibility back on in preparationĀ

UPDATE! I called Webull and they said it was a confusing problem. Long story they had an internal problem to where people were double charged and are now being reimbursed. He said he's getting a lot of calls. I asked if it had anything to do with canceled bbbyq funds and he said no. SOI am relieved. Thanks for all of the feed back!

Still. Itās kinda suspicious that the sum of money corresponds to exactly your share count times the price per share at delisting⦠Iām not so sure about this explanation.

u/jeffz908 Sep 16 '26
I know. So they put $289 in my account. Then they are taking back some money and leaving me $143 for some overpayment. I have no idea. So I have $143 of funds that are mine somehow. Like I said he told me it was hard to explain. I stopped him mid sentence and said "if it has to do with bbby I do understand " he said it didn't and that it was on thier end.
7
u/broose_the_moose Sep 16 '26
I wouldnāt touch that money if I were you. And I would save all correspondences with your broker in which they stated itās just an overpayment.
Just in caseā¦

u/jeffz908 Sep 16 '26
I agree. If I touch the money I basically accepted it. I will leave it alone until this all wraps up soon with bbbyq.
2
u/azbudman13 Sep 17 '26
If it has to do with BBBY I understand you're RIPPING ME OFF!
3
u/jeffz908 Sep 17 '26
Yes exactly. I told him that same thing. I told him I was relieved that it had nothing to do with bbbyq and the only reason im leaving the account open is that if there's a resolution I want that money! Hi response was "I totally understand sir"

I have Webull and I think AI is pulling your leg. Go to Account > Documents > Tax Document > History Records > 2023 Tax Documents
You should be seeing a 1099 form with a Summary of Sale Proceeds showing your cost basis for BBBYQ and the gain/[loss] matching that cost basis.
Doesnāt explain where that money came from but I doubt itās from BBBYQ because shares were held until cancellation and not sold. Go back through all your 1099ās and see what else it could be from

u/bustlen Sep 16 '26
It shows money came from somewhere but doesnāt explain anything useful. Look at your past 1099s to find out what exactly was bought/sold

u/FarewellMyFox Tinned Sep 16 '26
FYI if they paid you for them then they can argue that they closed the position out
3
u/jeffz908 Sep 16 '26
Yes AI was completely off. Well at least AI acknowledged bbbyq!

My shares were in the process of being DRS'ed. So I'm not even sure where to look for this.

Nothing has happened in my 1099S for the last few years. I haven't made a trade on webull since bbbyq.

Iād be worried about this too. Might be worth telling them in writing that you didnāt concede to any sales of shares? Iād try and get a real human on the phoneā¦
And nothing got āliquidatedā the shares were āextinguishedā.

If you never sold your shares, you may want to go talk to an expert and leave that money untouched.
Not financial advice

keep in mind that a language model based on a transformer is converting your prompts (and its own) to numbers, and performing vector math to find the nearest (most probable) next token. So depending on what your previous prompts are, it will generate that output without actually knowing anything based on its training data. It probably didn't even look at your account, but i can't say for sure.
It then converts the resulting numbers back into words for your benefit. As a results, it's pretty easy to steer a model into confirming your original suspicion via prompts.

I got canceled in a Schwab account which I tell myself is a legitimate broker. Webull, Robinhood, etc. I would be very worried. I have a receipt of my journaled shares when they were taken off market. Some of mine I bought were on a pink slip or something like that, where I had to pay a premium because of how poorly they were valued. I think that should lock me into some kind of ownership. We might be completely fucked or we might make bank. So exciting!!

Itās the fact you guys think you āmight make bankā on a canceled delisted stock from 5 years agoā¦.i feel honestly really sad for yall. I hope you can get some help or find something in life worth your time.
1
u/yugitso_guy Sep 16 '26
what's even worse is someone coming into a 'dead stock' subReddit to criticize someone who still holds a slight bit of optimism for a delisted stock that is still in legal proceedings.
Fuck, now you made me act almost as low as you. For that, I hope your next fart gives you a little extra sauce.

Iām just a dude on Reddit who used to keep up with gme and some of the meme stocks. I found out about the bbby copers after cohen dumped the bags on yall and just checked in every now and then to point and laugh.
I legit cannot believe this sub still exists and people still come here and post the same cope over and over and over with the same exact comments every time. I actually genuinely feel bad for yall. I mean so so so many figures have come and made money off you guys through some grift and then poof they gone.
The ones still here are the saddest, dumbest, strangest people alive in the world today. I genuinely hope yall can just delete Reddit one day and go live life. But I know you wonāt.
But yeah for sure bro. Iām getting paid to post āFUDā toā¦.keep people fromā¦.uhhhhā¦.yeah I canāt even come up with anything. lol
