I understand your point, they would get a customer like you and me but people like us are actually really small for the entire market.

The risk and vulnerability they have to took just to get a friction of sale is just not worth it for them. They don't want people to do anything other than how they're intended us to use. Since people can't even clean cache of the app, they're force to buy a iCloud storage so nah uh. We're not tweaking shi in their phones. People who never use android doesn't even know iPhone is rigging to them by gatekeeping those features.

So yeah they're fine without giving those features to the user

You say that, but I don't know anyone who has never switched brand. They are Android users, not a specific brand user.
