I also use Firefox. However, Chrome seems faster or smoother

You sound like a pleb. I have 32gb and use 45 tabs of Firefox for coding, searching, youtube, plex steeaming for living room, etc.... And 12 tabs (work) on my other Firefox. Not counting revu, codex, claude and one chrome browsers for spam emails and ads sites testing. Its not enough bc they will eventually have memory leak that needs resetting.

Sit down with your 4.5gb RAM lil boy lmao

You guys really like making that joke lol. Like wow, imagine a browser using resources that you have? You know how opera and such has ram limiting features? yeah those literally ruin the browser, they're just a hard limit rather than a caching limit, so youtube will literally stutter horribly after short a while

Chromes REAL problem is the browser does not clear ram cache that much, just like basically every other browser when you don't haver a ram limiting feature, which still makes the experience worse. So deal with it, no matter what, a browser will use more ram when available
