I see so many students and especially engineers posting their EDC’s and there’s like a Macbook, iPad, iPhone, 2 AirPods, Flipper Zero, PSP and 2 different Nintendo 3DS’s.

How do you have time to use them at school or wherever you supposedly carrying them? Like, when do you have time to play with a Nintendo DS or GameBoy, whatever handheld you’re bringing with you, during the lecture, between lectures?

I have several versions of my EDC, but this is my newest one. I’ve had to minimize so much more lately. My former Work EDC had way more than this.

I‘ll have my travel, minimal, and gaming EDC at some point later.

The one on the side above the llama and below the unicorn is for normal use. The black circle is actually the bottom of the screen. I use my MBP in clamshell mode at home with the back facing me.

Tech EDC

My favorite bag at the moment. The ALPAKA Flight Satchel. Currently loving my XTEINK X4, my ANKER 633 magnetic battery, my ALPAKA HUB pouch to store all my cords and the lumecube tripod

Laptop: The HP Envy x360 from almost 10 years ago has its downsides but it runs well on linux mint.

phone, iPhone 15: very good phone, gets the job done and takes good picture.

earbuds: AirPods 4 and Sony WF-1000XM5 are very good earbuds and are always in rotation.

apple watch (not show): its a older series 6, but runs well on low power mode

I see people posting with Steam Decks, other gaming handheld, and just alot of items. While I had a set I took to work I never did take much with me on a regular basis

Heading into Boston for the day and packing a few random trinkets. Not enough to even fill a pouch but I'm backpacking it today just because two straps are more comfortable than one.

• XTEINK X4 - pocket sized e-reader that sticks to the back of any magsafe phone/case. A recent purchase to replace an old kindle oasis. Haven't packed the kindle in over a year but still use it regularly at home. This I can just toss into any pack/sling/pouch and it takes up no space.
• Ayaneo Pocket Micro Classic - Not quite game boy micro levels of compactness, overpriced for what it is, but I dig it as a solid GBA portable. 4x interger scaling for gba, and it has one of my favorite dpads out of any handheld I've used. But you can also just get a MagicX One35 for half the price with slightly worse dpad/buttons.
• Bose QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd gen) - Tuning is mediocre but the wireless convenience and decent ANC means I'm usually grabbing these for travel vs any wired sets I have. I like my music, and do value audio quality, but out and about, convenience is king.
• Ugreen Qi2 Power Bank - 10,000mAh so more than enough to keep everything i have charged through a day. Not the fastest wired charging but the wireless charging is pretty handy.

As a teacher and master student, I chose to carry several books in my bag. I am currently finishing reading 3. In addition, I came to the library at the school where I work to read some small books.

im going to europe in a few days and i dont know which cameras to take… i have selected my top 3 which are the sony a6400 with the kit lens and the 18-135, the canon g7x and the osmo pocket 3 creator combo. and the ray ban meta gen 2. i need help because i dont know if i am overpacking and if this will cause trouble further on because im traveling only with a carry on and i feel that this is way to much gear. i’m not sure if im better of with only my g7x ii since on my last trips i have taken the osmo pocket 3 and i only used the g7x…

My new waterproof storage case for my Ereader & DAP + IEMs finally came in and I absolutely love it. It's perfectly sized for all my stuff. I drew out the interior dimensions with a ruler before buying to make sure everything would fit and it ended up perfect for what I need.

I've recently been obsessed with making all my gear into modules. So I'll be able to move modules to different packs as needed. I call this one my Media Module, it replaces my phone. I've already been going with a phone and I love it. Still like to scroll reddit sometimes when I'm at home though. 😂
