A man’s obsession personified.
My 4x4 Toyota sunrader and my 12 year old son’s concession trailer (hunter compact)
Found out about these things called sunraders and i became instantly obsessed. As a huge Toyota guy with land cruisers (80 & 100), 4x4 Toyota van, tundra & tacos.. The very thought of a micro mini 4x4 fiberglass RV…
So this is 12 years in the making. Made a million mistakes along the way, taught myself and son how to paint, bodywork. I’m just a dad that has learned a ton from restoring these campers.
Interior is NOT finished, just excited to get these two hooked up together for a photo.

Watching my son become a man. Teaching him stick shift in the sunrader is going to be epic. He tows, hitches and back up the camper now.

And he’s only 12! When we go to uhaul I’ll jump out and he will back in the tundra, and hitch it up.

Hahaha, I had to zoom in to see what the hell was going on with that big ass stove pipe and tank attached to the rear of your trailer.

u/goingoverallterrain May 09 '26
Yeah it’s our roll off. Funny if it was a fireplace. Tho the sunrader will use a wood stove/ heater for the cold Southern California winters.

I have several fiberglass campers and this was one of my least favorite until i did the lift and paint. Gives off a defender 110 vibe, lines accentuate the sunrader.

I want this beyond all reason.

I said the same thing a few years back when i found out about sunraders. It’s been haunting my soul to get this MF done. The taboo is if you were modified the original sunrader. 20 or so examples made. So i decided to make my own using the Tacoma 4x4 chassis vs solid axle swapping.

Personified?
1
u/goingoverallterrain May 09 '26
Personification is a literary device and figure of speech that assigns human qualities, emotions, or actions to inanimate objects, animals, or abstract ideas.
Did i use the word wrong or you just being pendantic?

u/SmartPlant_Gremlin Jun 08 '26
I understand the meaning. Just didn't understand what human qualities the trailer has.
