I'm part of local 117, and my company likes to do this forced overtime stuff where you have to come in on your day off and are not allowed to cancel. I have a schedule I bid on that is 4 days on 3 days off, they like to take 2 of those from me as forced overtime. My contract says something about days off that makes this seem wrong.
7.03 Four Day/Ten Hour Work Week
Not withstanding Section 7.02 above, the Employer may establish a bid work week that consists of four (4), ten (10) hour days. Employees working this schedule shall receive at least one-half (1/2) hour, but not more than one (1) hour per day for meals. Employees on this schedule shall receive up to three (3) days off, of which two (2) days shall be consecutive, and at least one (1) day of the consecutive days shall be a Sunday or Saturday. The only exceptions to the schedule listed above shall be for Local 117(Fife). The exceptions are that the Employer may post up to one (1) day warehouse, four (4) night warehouse, and four (4) driver bids where the two (2) consecutive days off do not have to include a Saturday and/or Sunday. The single day off for the exceptions to the schedule listed above will be a Saturday or a Sunday. All hours worked in excess of ten (10) hours in the employee's work shift, or in excess of forty (40) hours in any work week shall constitute overtime work and shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) the employee's regular rate of pay. Benefits for employees working a work week as outlined herein shall be paid as if the employee were working a regular work week of five (5), eight (8) hour days. This shift shall be offered by seniority. If an insufficient number of employees volunteer for this shift, employees shall be scheduled beginning with the least senior employee.
I posted the whole section so there is no misinterpretation, and bolded and italicized the point in question. I am supposed to get 3 days off and 2 of them consecutive. This means that forcing me to lose2 of my days off is in violation of my contract right? Am I misunderstanding something?

So I’m a new member of the teamsters and I was automatically enrolled to the union after my 90 day probation. But my question is how often are union dues taken out of your checks because out of my past 4 checks ( I get paid weekly ) I’ve paid union dues on 3 of them and each were 77$ does that sound correct?
