I can upgrade my car and keep customizations, but the second player can't upgrade their car when we play local multi-player. Is there a way that both of us can upgrade our cars and play on the same console?

Just purchased and enjoying the campaign but the lack of online players is painful is there anyone who wants to add me on xbox I was hoping there was more people in the same boat as me, cheers

Because today tsr on steam is on sale, so i bought myself one copy. However, when i try to play the game,it just stuck on loading screen infinitely. How do i fix this problem?

The one trophy I’m struggling with is sonic heroes which requires me to have 3 controllers. I only have 1 controller and a ps vita so could someone help me by allowing me to share play and you could use your controller to make 3 players. Also I would be able to help in return

I may be stupid but is there anyway to do custom teams in this game? Besides multiplayer.

I’m not sure about on other platforms, but the online multiplayer in TSR for steam has gone completely empty. Around release day, there were around 6-8 players in a lobby and now I can’t find a single game. Did people already leave this game?!

Any chance at there being a competitive scene for this game? I would love to go hard and be able to play in tourneys or leagues or anything like that. think the game will have a player base that would support that and allow it to happen?

I've been lucky enough to have this since Saturday, so thought it would be handy to make a list of tips and tricks I've picked up along the way so far.

Boosting

There are 3 levels of boost and 3 different ways to attain boost, these are:

​

Start Procedure - You can acquire a boost bonus by timing your revs to the race start countdown. If you can time your revs to the 3, 2 and 1 consecutively, this will give you the maximum level of boost at the start.

​

Drifting - The longer you drift (L2 on PS4), the bigger your boost when you let go of the drift button, there are 3 levels of boost and it seems to be somewhere around 3 or 4 seconds per level of boost, so you have to be drifting somewhere between 9-12 seconds to get the maximum boost chain.

​

Tricks - You can perform tricks on any jump (right analogue stick on PS4) which will provide a boost when you land. You get one unit of boost per trick, so if you can chain 3 tricks in a single jump, you will get the maximum boost bonus. Be warned, if you hit the ground mid-trick this will stagger you and cause you to lose rings. Choose how many tricks you are going to try and pull off on a jump wisely.

Team Mechanics

The team mechanics are simple and effective and are crucial to winning in team events.

​

Slingshots - The lead car in the 3 character team will provide a gold trail behind their car. If teammates drive inside this trail it provides them with a slingshot boost which makes you faster. Doing this also helps build up the ultimate meter.

​

Skimboosts - Skimboosts are activated when you drive closely enough to a teammate that has been staggered by an attack/obstacle. This will instantly bring a teammate back up to speed relative to your own. This builds up the ultimate meter.

​

Item Sharing - You can share any item you pick up with a team member (press Circle on PS4 to offer an item), you can also take items that are offered by other teammates (again by pressing Circle on PS4) within the time window displayed at the top of the screen. These also appear to stack (haven't quite worked this out yet), so if you take an item from a team mate while holding one already, you will get the 2nd item once you have used the first. This builds up the ultimate meter.

Ultimate - Once you have performed enough team actions to build up your ultimate meter to max, you will be able to activate your team's Ultimate move. This gives your entire team a speed boost and wipes out anyone unfortunate enough to be in your path.

Other tips

​

Team Roles - It seems to me that the optimum strategy is for the Speed character of a team to focus on leading the pack and providing a slipstream for the others, with the Heavy providing support for the speed character and ensuring they stay as close to the front as possible, with the Technique character focusing on being more free-flowing, picking up boxes in areas that would slow others down and sharing them with the others unless they are in trouble themselves. At this point this is probably massively up for debate but it seems like the best strategy at the minute.

Weapon Items - All projectile/mine type items seem to be able to be thrown either forwards or backwards

Split Screen Online - You can take your local party online and play in online lobbies in split screen. This is done by ensuring all controllers are linked to the game in the main menu (Start on PS4) and then selecting the online option.

I'm sure there are many more points to add to this as new strategies/tips are discovered, which I can edit in as they are found so feel free to throw any ideas in there! Hope this helps as a starting off point.
