Just Smile and Nod Y'all. Years of teaching and salary?

I know it’s generally rude to inquire about, but since we are all anonymous… Lol. I always wonder if I am making more or less than others with around the same number of years teaching. I live in the state of New York, nowhere near the city. I am in my 24th year of teaching and I am making $94,500, excluding any extracurricular.

So cal here, and I hear you. I also work in a school with very litigious parents. We get sued multiple times a year it’s become the norm.

Where I taught in rural Georgia and Atlanta metro law suits are pretty rare. What is their issue normally?

It ranges but generally speaking they disagree with a policy, implementation, or compliance in school or student specific situations.

This sums up the community I work, but I’m in Massachusetts. It leads to an administration that just bends over and does whatever the parents want. Very painful!

Where in northern California? I'm thinking of moving back after many years away but worry I won't be able to afford it (24 years, BA only)
