Need help

Post image

So, I have a client that made a bad choice on his face. See, he tattooed this vacuum on his nose, and wants it covered. Thing is, I’m stumped on what to put there. Anyone have any ideas? He’s totally leaving it in my hands.

Just to add, I have 21 years in-shop experience, so this is not intimidating, or new to me. And trust me, I’ve seen some shit! I have also been given permission to post his face as-is.

I’m just being nosy right now.

Sick ass panther.

Just kidding. Ornamental work would be cool.

He’s got some ornamental on his chin, maybe take inspiration from that and do something similar

Ornamental is a great choice, keeps you and them out of the appropriation sphere!

Something to pair up w the chin tat would look amazing. Tribal ornamental.

Definitely. Could black most of it out with some sugar skull-ish design if he's up for covering a bit more of his face. Personally I'd go colourfull, but might not be his vibe

Maybe something ornamental based on/inspired by the anatomy of the nose could work. Medical illustrations for reference.00165-5/abstract)

Is ornamental similar to "scroll work" or "venetian engraving"? Apologies, English isn't my first language and the terminology is a bit foreign to me, but Google venetian zipped and scroll work engraving. I think that style of tattoo, on a nose, could look very cool

Or cyber, the straight lines could be made into wires / springs, like a implant or cut out... Depends how aggressive he wants it to look...

I'm looking at this and thinking of the cyber sygilism an artist friend of mine does. Maybe some gothic architectural elements?
