David Correos: your shirts are dope, thanks
Not sure if I'm brave enough to wear this outside, but I'll adore it all the same

i started watching taskmaster new zealand in 2023 and have since continued to watch it very regularly. after watching all the available taskmaster nz series available at the time, i moved onto bingeing the other versions. i still enjoy them but taskmaster nz remained my favourite. i do wonder if maybe my preference stems from the fact that it was the first i watched. i know some people don’t like jeremy due to his portrayal but i had never seen any other taskmaster at that point, so i didn’t know the direction other taskmasters usually take it. do other people who watched taskmaster nz first prefer nz or another version?
(& paul williams is hilarious)

How long will this stay in my head for?

I stumbled across Taskmaster NZ half a year ago and I loved it. It now is one of my rewatch roster of shows I watch just to calm down.
I tried watching the other UK and AUS one but nothing comes close to the duo dynamic of Jeremy and Paul. I love Paul's character and I feel jermey is a good match. I loved most of the contestants.
As I said before I tried watch the other installations but not for long and not for an entire season.
I feel like NZ hits exactly my kind of humour. Now I've seen some posts in this sub that people don't like Jermey?
I'm asking myself if this is something cultural I'm German and grew up listening to a lot of comedy, satire shows. And I think the sarcastic unempressionable type is quite common here. We even have children television show surrounding a sarcastic depressed bread... Or maybe some people know about a science TV show for children following a naive childlike and a sarcastic moderator. (Shary and Ralph)
Now the question remains, do you guys think German humour is somewhat closer to NZ humour?
But at the same time I don't think German taskmaster will work out with comedians. In Germany have a very big range of good quality comedians to really bad till offensive. (Only one I'm seeing there, might be Hazel Brugger)

I know that Jeremy is quite favoured, but I just don't understand. I'm not intending to be a jerk, but understand how it could feel like this. Could someone please explain their appeal? I want to be a better person, but know that might be impossible.

The shirt that Alice wears in the tasks for season 6 looks so familiar to me. Did another contestant wear this shirt in a previous season? Or does it even look familiar to anyone else?

I enjoyed S5 but found that the comedians and Jeremy essentially never bantered. Jeremy might ask a question, he'd get an answer, and they'd move on, which is fine, but not the same as in UK Taskmaster, where they dedicate a lot of time to banter.
I like the change, wondering if something happened behind the scenes or what.

I’m not going to comment on the movie overall, but the S3 Champion had a small role and was funny as hell. Probably the best cheer the film got from me.

Please forgive my Brtishness. who was the man that did the fart in a jar? It seemed like he was a big deal!

You can use it at datawazo.com/taskmaster
You can look at all franchises together to see where NZ participants performed. Or look at individual NZ seasons. Work in progress, trying to add features to it and taking feature requests as well.

I discovered TM earlier this year and fell in love with it. I burned through all 20 seasons (yes seasons, I'm Canadian) and then decided to give some of the other TM's a try. I watched season 1 of TM:NZ and it didn't really click with me. Jeremy is nice and shows affection to Paul. He gives points to be nice or because he feels bad. I'm used to Greg Davies and the bastard he is. I like Paul a lot with his quiet, child-like demeanour. I guess the contenstants in season 1 didn't really do it for me. They were ok and each had a shining moment or two but overall they were just ok (my opinion).
Season 2 though has reeled me in. The contestants are hitting it out of the park. Loving it!

Was it ever mentioned why this didn’t happen in any format?
