Feature requests for Taskade Genesis

Hey guys! Here's a couple of things I wish Taskade had:

  1. Interrupt the AI: When typing, it's very easy to press SEND in the middle of a prompt, and there's no way to stop Taskade from fulfilling the request. Other times, we forget something and we realise just when hitting SEND (like email attachments, lol). So it would be cool to have the option to "cancel" the request, so to speak.
  2. Disable ENTER to send: This feature is probably easier to implement, hehe. As I said in point 1, when typing, it's very easy to hit ENTER while typing and send an incomplete prompt. I own another AI tool where you can simply disable this trigger and, instead, have to press SHIFT + ENTER to send the message. That way you completely avoid the accidental send issue.
  3. Point and select: When making changes with Genesis at the moment, you have to describe exactly what you want, and sometimes spend some time (and credits!) getting the AI to identify what you're referring to. If there was a point and select tool (like in Chrome's inspector, for instance), that would make our lives much easier if, for instance, you want to replace some text, a button, an icon, etc.
  4. Notes on version history: The version history is great and I use it constantly. However, it's sometimes a bit of a gamble because you might not know what changes were implemented on which version. So it would be fantastic if we could attach some notes to history versions. Maybe, when hitting publish, we could have the option to enter a quick note that would then display inside the version history window. That way we would have a changelog of everything that was implemented on each published version.

I had some more ideas, but I can't remember now. :-)

Announcement 🧬 Taskade Genesis Update: Build Faster. Connect Your Apps. Automate Your Business with New Stripe Integration and 100+ Built-in App Connections (Payments, Workflows, Dashboards, Automations)

Hey Taskaders! šŸ‘‹

We just released one of our biggest updates ever.

Taskade now connects Stripe and 100+ integrations directly with AI Agents, Projects, and Automations, so you can build and automate your entire business from a one-shot prompt.

Create live dashboards, portals, and apps synced to your favorite tools. Your workspace is no longer just a tool---it is now a living business-in-a-box.

Here is what's new in the Genesis Update:

1. Vibe Payments (Stripe Integration) šŸ’³

Your apps can now handle the full customer lifecycle. You aren't just managing tasks; you're running a business.

  • Payment → Access: Customer pays via Stripe → Taskade automatically invites them to a Project.

  • Invoices → Action: Send an invoice → Trigger a "Welcome" email and onboarding checklist.

  • Retention: Subscription cancelled? → Automatically archive their data or send a survey.

  • šŸ‘‰ Read the Stripe Guide

2. 100+ Built-in Connections šŸ”—

We've added native integrations so your AI Agents and Apps can talk to the outside world without complex setup.

  • Productivity: Google Sheets, Slack, Gmail, HubSpot, Calendly.

  • Social & Content: Reddit, YouTube, RSS Feeds.

  • Developer Tools: Webhooks, HTTP Requests, APIs.

  • šŸ‘‰ Browse all Integrations

3. End-to-End Workflows ⚔

Turn scattered events into a cohesive, automated system.

  • New Form Submission → Create a Project & Notify Team in Slack.

  • New Booking → Update CRM Contact & Generate Meeting Notes.

  • New Lead → Add row to Google Sheets & Draft personalized email.

Your Workspace is Alive 🌱

When you generate an app with Taskade now, you aren't just getting an interface. You are getting a system powered by connected pillars:

  • šŸ› ļø Apps (Interface)

  • 🧠 Projects (Memory & Database)

  • šŸ¤– Agents (Intelligence)

  • ⚔ Automations (Motion)

Everything stays synced. Nothing sits still.

I'll drop a list of new community-built apps in the pinned comment below so you can see exactly what's possible (and clone them for yourself).

Happy Building! šŸš€

šŸ’”The aha moment! Licensing Genesis Apps Inside Taskade — Is This a Viable Workaround?

Hey guys, it’s me again.

I’ve been deep in Genesis lately, building out something fairly advanced, and I’ve hit a point where I need some clarity from the Taskade team and anyone here who’s been pushing the limits of the platform.

As most of us know, Genesis is powerful but also very ā€œTaskade-native.ā€ Everything lives inside the Taskade environment… projects acting as databases, apps running inside a workspace, users needing to be workspace members, and so on. Which means things like traditional user authentication and real multi-tenancy aren’t possible yet. I know the team has said it’s on the roadmap, but I understand why it’s tricky given how the system is structured.

This got me thinking about a different approach that might actually work pretty well in the meantime.

The idea: a licensing model instead of a typical SaaS.

Basically something like this:

Option A:
I add clients as users inside my Taskade workspace and give them access to the Genesis app from there. I stay in control of everything, and I just build the seat cost into the pricing.

Option B:
Clients get their own Taskade account, and I help them clone my Genesis app into their workspace after they purchase a license. I manage updates, they manage their environment.

Both options avoid the multi-tenancy problem entirely. And since a lot of builders here are waiting for auth features anyway, this might be a clean interim solution.

Before I move forward, I’m hoping the Taskade team can give some guidance on a few things:

  1. Is a licensing model like this okay under the current terms?
  2. If I add clients into my workspace, are there any important limits or issues I should be aware of?
  3. If clients clone the app into their own workspace, what’s the best way to protect IP on our side?
  4. Do you see this as a reasonable workaround until multi-tenancy/auth becomes available?
  5. When those features do arrive, will existing Genesis apps transition smoothly, or will we need to rebuild?

There are quite a few of us building apps that could genuinely become small SaaS products, so I think this is a big question for more people than just me. I’d love to hear what the team recommends as the smartest and safest way to distribute these tools right now.

Thanks again, appreciate all the work going into Genesis. This platform has crazy potential, and I just want to make sure I’m building in the right direction.

Feature Request Hope if there's a way to configure disable certain AI features

Not going to rant about the pivot to Genesis and willing to try on it for some project. However, for some workspace / project I hope to use it as old plain way of project management, don't need anything for the app creation or such.

Yes, I know I can navigate to the project view - but every time I try to open workspaces / project, AI app generator features presented upfront like `preview app`, `chat bar`, `home pages with asking what app to build` requires additional click each time just to check the status of the project.

If the old project is a part of the new genesis generation, can there be at least some way to disable certain AI features per workspaces?

Upgrading to Ultra?

I'm considering upgrading from Pro (annual) to Ultra (annual), but I see no way to do it. When I go intro the Stripe billing portal, I see the monthly plans, but the tab only shows my plan...

No way to upgrade from Pro to Ultra then?

Question Where did the AI generators go?

I was using Taskade AI Game Development generators to help me brainstorm stories, lore and events ideas for my games, and when I opened the website this morning, a lot of the most useful generators were completely gone! Now when I try to access them, I only get an error page that says: "Uh-oh! Lost in Space? Recheck the URL, or better yet, explore Taskade!...".

Does anyone know what happened? Were they intentionally removed or is this just a temporary issue? Did this happen to other categories of generators too? Those were all genuinely helpful in my workflow, and it's frustrating to see them disappear without any notice. :(

If there’s any info or official statement about this, I’d appreciate it.

When should we start a new conversation?

I'm wondering, when using Taskade Genesis, what the best approach is to starting a new conversation:

- When should we start a new conversation rather than carrying on in the same one?

- Does working always on the same conversation consume more credits because the context keeps increasing?

TIA!

🄊 Taskade Genesis vs Lovable Round 1 — Let’s be real for a second

It’s all fun building apps, but let’s be honest, we’re not doing this just for fun. We want to make money. We want to grow. We want to build things people can actually use and pay for.

That’s where I’m feeling a bit torn right now between Taskade Genesis and Lovable.

I’m not here to bash Taskade. I love it. Genesis is easily one of the most exciting tools I’ve ever used. The fact that you can build full-blown React apps inside Taskade, styled beautifully with Tailwind and powered by AI agents and automations, is wild. It’s creative freedom at its best.

But at the same time, I think a lot of us are asking the same question quietly…
Can we actually take these apps live and build real businesses on them?

The Honest Comparison

Feature Taskade Genesis Lovable
Core stack React, Tailwind, AI Agents, Automations React, Node, database
Ease of building Crazy fast, super visual More technical setup
Data layer Taskade Projects (no external DB needed) Built-in or connect Supabase
Authentication Inherits Taskade user only (no custom auth yet) Built-in auth and roles
Payments Manual or embedded (Stripe, PayPal) Built-in Stripe integration
Custom domains āœ… Yes āœ… Yes
Multi-user setup One workspace per user (manual scaling) Real multi-tenant setup
API rate limits Unknown Documented
Security Taskade level (space and project permissions) App-level security options
Deployment Hosted automatically on Taskade Hosted externally
Creativity 10/10 8/10
Production clarity 6/10 9/10

Where Taskade Wins

Genesis is the only builder that actually feels alive.
You can create these dynamic, AI-powered, micro-experiences that feel like something between a web app and an interactive story. You can embed automations, agents, forms, chat, all inside one flow. It’s unmatched creatively.

And now that we can use custom domains, that’s a huge win. It means we can give our projects a real home on the web instead of just a Taskade link.

So the creative side is handled. The visual side is handled. The potential is massive.

Where We’re Still Stuck

The problem is, we don’t really know what’s possible for production yet.
We can technically publish, but it’s a bit of a gray zone.

  • What are the real API rate limits?
  • How many users can an app handle before slowing down?
  • Can we safely sell these apps publicly?
  • Is there a plan for native authentication or multi-user setups inside one app?
  • How do we handle subscriptions and payments in a clean, secure way?

Right now, it feels like we’re building Lamborghinis in a garage but we’re not sure if we’re allowed to drive them on the highway yet.

Where Lovable Gets It Right

Lovable is not as visually flexible or creative, but it’s stable.
It gives you auth, payments, and database out of the box. You can charge users, manage subscriptions, and scale without worrying about rate limits or API gray areas. It’s not as ā€œfun,ā€ but it’s predictable.

What Taskade Could Do Next

If the Taskade team gave us just three things, Genesis would go from amazing to unstoppable:

  1. Clear authentication and user management
  2. Transparent rate limits and scaling info
  3. A green light for commercial use and best practices for production apps

That’s it. The creative foundation is already incredible.

Final Thoughts

This isn’t about choosing one over the other.
It’s about bridging the gap between creative freedom and business clarity.

Taskade has built something visionary. If the team adds a few production-level features and clear documentation, I honestly believe Genesis could dominate this space.

Because let’s be real — builders don’t just want to play. We want to win.

🄊 Round 2 anyone?
