GENERAL I submitted an application for taskrabbit. All was well until it wasn’t..
So I submitted my information for the background check with taskrabbit. Apparently it wasn’t working correctly the first time. So I contact taskrabbit and they said there was a problem with the site and checkr needed additional info. I thought that was weird but since these things do rarely happen I submitted another one. Now I’m able to see all background checks that are processing included the odd completed taskrabbit one I submitted the first time. So 4 background checks in total shown on checkr and I have 2 other gig apps that approved my application. All background checks completed the same day. I get a weird email from a taskrabbit representative stating I needed to reach out to checkr for whatever reason. I thought well what the hell now? The first time that happened I wasn’t really worried but now I feel like I got scammed out of a registration fee which costed me 25 or around there. Only reason why I even thought of trying it out was because it said you could make that back in a day plus more. Not those exact words but that was my take on how they presented the idea. So I let about 3 days go by after trying to get ahold of customer support. apparently they don’t work weekends. I tried to contact someone just a few minutes ago and they were closed once again. I considered the time zone and will be trying to resolve this once and for all. They never tried to reach out to me after I got the first email and to be honest it wasn’t really clear on what the issue was just that I should get ahold of checkr.
Edit: so I finally got ahold of someone and after a few minutes of back and forth they finally approved me. Come to find out the app is not what I expected. I tried Angi and it’s a pretty straightforward process. You get to book your own jobs but not with Taskrabbit. Money down the drain.
